What people like
  • Flavorful cheesesteaks
  • Good bun quality
  • Positive service gestures
What people don't like
  • Poor value for money
  • Frequent order errors
  • Unpleasant dining atmosphere

With a low Recommendation Score of 3.4, Pardon My Cheesesteak struggles to deliver a consistently positive experience. While the cheesesteaks themselves might offer some flavor, the numerous issues with value, order accuracy, and the overall environment make it difficult to recommend without significant reservations.

If you’re considering a visit, manage your expectations, especially regarding portion sizes and service consistency. It might be a place for a quick, no-frills cheesesteak if you’re in the immediate vicinity, but it’s unlikely to be a standout destination.

Verdict: Our expert take on Pardon My Cheesesteak

Food (3.6 out of 10)

mentioned by 95% of the guests

Alright, lets talk about the food! While the overall score for the grub sits at a rather low 3.6, and customer satisfaction is only at 22.4% based on 49 opinions (11 positive vs 34 negative), some folks did find things to cheer about. The original cheesesteak, its quality, and the hot, juicy cheese and meat, along with a good, soft bun, occasionally hit the spot, delivering that desirable drip factor'.

However, it seems the food often misses the mark. Common complaints revolve around the sandwich size and meat portion being too small, disappointing food quality, and issues with the fries. Many felt the food was bland, or even received the wrong sandwich or items with missing ingredients, leading to a generally poor experience.

While the overall service experience has its challenges, there are glimmers of positivity. A few customers (5 out of 24 remarks) praised the great service and highlighted a lovely guy at the hostess stand who was accommodating. Pardon my Cheesesteak is IHOP in disguise
My experience at this establishment was confusing. There is no restaurant under the name "Pardon my Cheesesteak"; it appears to be operating directly out of the IHOP kitchen. The food tasted exactly like it does from IHOP. The food quality was rated a 1, and the price per person was between $10–20.

Tiny Sandwich, Big Disappointment
My experience at this restaurant was a complete waste. I ordered a sandwich that was tiny and flavorless, accompanied by a meager half-handful of fries. I felt completely duped by the experience. Honestly, I regret not just ordering a sandwich from IHOP, as the quality of the food here made me believe it might have been from there.

Flavorful Cheesesteaks, Basic Fries
My experience involved ordering through Uber, so I can't comment on service or atmosphere. The food was good overall. The cheesesteaks were described as being full of flavor, though they were a bit small in size. The fries were basic but crispy. I was satisfied with my order.

Frustrating Virtual Restaurant Experience
My experience was quite frustrating. I preordered through Google, but the restaurant claimed they didn't take my card, so I used another, which also didn't work initially. Upon arriving at the address, I struggled to find parking and had to resort to using the sidewalk. Then, I couldn't locate the restaurant itself. I eventually found out it was a virtual restaurant operating within Bucca De Beppos. The host took 10 minutes to retrieve my to-go bag, but I had intended to eat inside. I was informed it's illegal to eat in a different restaurant. When I asked for ketchup for my fries, I was told they only had ketchup for cheeseburgers. To top it off, the sandwich was incredibly small, comparable to my phone, with very little meat. The 15 crinkle fries and a can of Pepsi cost an additional $5. Ultimately, I had to eat in my truck on the sidewalk.

Amazing Cheesesteaks & Great Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The cheesesteaks were absolutely amazing. As we were not from the area, we were unaware of the app ordering system. However, the lovely guy at the hostess stand was incredibly accommodating and helped us out. Thank you again for the wonderful service!
