The food here is amazing, and the menu is inspired. However, the service concept is sheer chaos. On a busy Friday morning, the single person handling orders was also the barista, leading to an unnecessarily long line.
This bottleneck also impacts the kitchen, causing food to sit and become cold, or creating lulls and rushes instead of a steady pace. I also observed food runners bussing dirty tables without washing their hands in between, and then handling pastries for customers 🤮. My lunch experience at the Wayland Mill was phenomenal. I had a very tasty/unique breakfast sandwich and the cabbage salad was fresh and delicious. The service was very friendly and fast.

Delicious Hojicha and Peanut Pie!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! The hojichu with banana milk and the peanut pie were both absolutely DELICIOUS. Unfortunately, by noon on a Sunday, they were already sold out of the rest of the food.
