If you’re seeking a quick, relatively inexpensive meal and prioritize good value over a polished dining experience, Taco Del Mar might be worth considering. The Recommendation Score of 5.2 suggests it’s a passable option, particularly if you stick to their well-regarded burritos.

However, be prepared for potentially inconsistent food quality and a less-than-inviting atmosphere. While service can be friendly and efficient, some experiences point to a need for more consistent staff engagement.

It’s a place that serves a purpose, but perhaps not one to seek out for a memorable culinary adventure.

Convention Center Tacos Disappoint
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food was just good enough to sustain its presence in a convention center, but it was not good food. I would advise against stopping here on a random visit. The meat in my two tacos was the best part, but the salsa was tasteless, the tortillas unpleasant, the lettuce limp, and the pico wet. For comparison, the convention center itself offers cheese plates, croissants, and good coffee, as well as chicken tenders, meatballs, and cubanos, all of which had more flavor and care put into them than these tacos. I believe the convention center should not be selling these tacos. There are likely food trucks right outside selling better tacos, proshki, or gyros, and I recommend giving them your money instead.

Delicious Carnitas Under $20!
My experience at Taco Del Mar was a welcome surprise. After exhibiting at the Flower & Garden Show, I found the convention center's food offerings to be expensive & limited. I was happy to go down 4 floors and discover Taco Del Mar. The staff was pleasant, and my huge plate of carnitas was delicious and cost below $20 including a drink.

Grotty, Grumpy, and Meagre
My experience at this restaurant was far from pleasant. I needed a quick burrito for lunch, but received a tiny one that, while tasting okay, was not worth the visit. The service was not nice; two servers were grumpy and complained about various issues, including the card machine not working. Furthermore, the place is very unclean, with rubbish all over. I would avoid this establishment.

Mediocre Burrito, Better Options Nearby
My experience at this restaurant was decidedly mid. The burrito here is prone to falling apart, so I'd recommend double-layering it. While it's better than the Gyro Stop across the street, I advise taking the extra few minutes to go there instead. You'll pay half the price for better food. The kid-friendliness is a major con, especially when busy, as finding seating for a family can be difficult. Wheelchair accessibility is also an issue when it's busy due to limited seating.
