Avoid for Large Groups Due to Billing Hassle
My experience at this restaurant was challenging, especially for a large group. While the food was decent, the major issue was their policy of not offering individual checks. This meant our group of 9+ people had to manually split the bill, which was incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, they still charged a 3% transaction fee and expected a 20% tip on top of that. Considering the hassle involved in settling the bill, it was not worth the hassle.

Disappointing Food Quality
My best friend and I occasionally visit this restaurant and have always enjoyed the food, environment, and warmth. However, this time, the experience was off. I'm not sure if the recipe changed or if there was new management, but the food was bland. The unsalted hash browns were not as robust as they used to be, and the Cubano was lackluster in flavor and depth. The service was a mix of warmth and briskness, depending on who attended to our table. I hope this was a one-time occurrence and that our next visit will bring back the enjoyable food we've experienced before.

Homey Spot with Delicious Breakfast
The "Carrot Cafe" (as my 3-year-old calls it) has become a regular weekend breakfast spot for my family. We were initially drawn in by the Cinnamon Roll French toast via DoorDash, but the homey atmosphere keeps us coming back for dine-in. Like any decent breakfast restaurant in Seattle, weekends can be crowded with long waits. However, Carrot Cafe offers good food and a mom & pop soul/personality in a town increasingly dominated by generic chains. My 3-year-old's only critique was the lack of carrots on the menu 😆.

Disappointing Experience, Cold Food
I am super sad to write this review because I usually have very good experiences here, but not today. It was a busy Saturday, as expected, but every single table received food and drink before we even got to put our order in. We also didn't get any refills on water and coffee. Our waiter was rude and blunt, making no effort to communicate that our food was late or to apologize for it. The only thing they didn’t struggle bringing to the table was the check for $80. When our food finally arrived, it was cold, and there were hash browns cooked into my pancakes. The rest of the table was left feeling unsatisfied with what was clearly food left off the grill for way too long. Hopefully, when we come back, we won’t experience this again. It was disappointing to say the very least : (Price per person: $20–30 Wait time: Up to 10 min Atmosphere: 1 Service: 1 Meal type: Breakfast Noise level: Loud, but you can still talk Food: 3
