Disappointing Burrito Experience
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito, but only received a cheese burrito. The cheese wasn't melted, and the presentation was messy.
The burrito fell apart, which was horrible. I'll never order from here again.

Worth the Price at Sayulitas
My experience at Sayulitas was excellent. I can't go wrong with this place. The food was fantastic, earning a perfect 5/5.
While it is a bit pricey, I found it to be worth it. The service was also top-notch, rated 5/5, and the atmosphere was enjoyable at 4/5. I visited for lunch and experienced no wait time.

Scammed by Campechana Fries!
I feel scammed 😭. Their campechana fries were 80% fries. Initially, it seemed the box was stacked and a good value, but as soon as you eat the top, thin layer of meat, all you get is fries.

Disappointed by Missing Salsa
My recent experience was disappointing because the burritos and rolled tacos did not come with a side of hot sauce (salsa), which is usually included. I paid for extra salsa and expected to receive both the usual portion and what I paid for. It's a small sacrifice to keep customers coming back.

Terrible Service, Okay Food
This was my first and last time here. The service was super bad. With less than an hour until closing, the young man immediately told us everything was for takeaway without even a greeting.
The lady at the cash register was very kind and asked if it was for here. I replied, thinking they were about to close. She looked confused and said, 'Uh, no, we don't close until 9: 45 pm.
' 👎🏻 What a bad vibe, honestly.

Great Food, Minor Issue
This was our first time at the restaurant, and we loved the food. We will most definitely come back. However, we were a little sad that one burrito was missing, which is a 30-minute round trip to resolve.
Other than that, the customer service and food were great.

Massive Burritos, Terrible Flavor
I was intrigued by the "Filipino twist" at this Mexican restaurant and decided to try their namesake Sayulita's burrito and the Spam burrito. Both were absolutely massive, easily feeding 2-3 people each. However, they were so overstuffed that they burst open immediately, making them more of a fork-and-napkin meal.
At around $20 each, the quantity felt appropriate for the price, but the flavor was a significant letdown. I found these to be the worst burritos I've ever had in San Diego. The Sayulita's burrito had a distinctly fishy taste, reminiscent of melted ice from a fishmonger's display, and an overpowering bitterness that permeated the rice, which constituted 70% of the filling.
I suspect the bitterness might have come from the bacon or perhaps the lettuce, which I found an unusual addition to a burrito. I could only manage a couple of bites before giving up, worried about getting sick. The Spam burrito was edible but unremarkable, primarily consisting of unseasoned egg, chunks of salty Spam, and a large amount of rice, cheese, and sour cream.
While edible, it wasn't worth the money, in my opinion. On a positive note, the staff was very nice, and the restaurant was clean.
