It was our first time in San Francisco, and we decided to stop by Paula’s Café for breakfast. It turned out to be a great decision — the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely recommend this place!

My experience at the restaurant was marked by slow service. Despite the restaurant being only half full at 1: 30 PM, it took 30 minutes for my omelette to arrive. The food was just okay; my omelette was very oily and salty. The chicken sausage was also too deep fried. Unfortunately, my stomach didn't feel good afterwards.

I only ordered an iced mocha, so I can't judge any other food. Unfortunately, it wasn't great. In my opinion, there was way too much chocolate.

The meal type was brunch, with moderate noise levels.

The eggs were stringy, the sausage had an unusual texture, and the French toast was notably stale, requiring excessive ketchup and maple syrup just to get it down. To make matters worse, the portions were quite small, leaving me feeling hungry. The service also left much to be desired. Despite having a reservation, our table wasn't ready for 15 minutes. Our server forgot utensils and didn't refill our water. Additionally, I was overcharged for my coffee and a side of eggs, though the waiter was pleasant and seemed to be trying his best. The atmosphere was crowded and noisy, likely due to visiting during Sunday brunch. While I suspect their Mexican-style breakfasts might be better based on other reviews, I would not return.
