Fantastic Seafood and Views!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed the delicious cocktails and the fantastic seafood. The great views were also a highlight.
The good service made the meal even more enjoyable. It was my first time here, and I regret not trying it sooner, especially since I've been living in the Bay Area for 9 years. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the North Beach area or near Golden Gate Park.

Relaxed Coastal Vibe with Tasty Pub Fare
My experience at Park Chalet was a relaxed coastal vibe with tasty food. The restaurant offers scenic views and great outdoor seating right by Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach. The menu features solid pub-style fare, like fish & chips and flatbreads, alongside local beers and cocktails.
Live music on weekends adds to the fun, laid-back atmosphere, making it perfect for a sunny afternoon or casual night out. However, I did notice that service can be slow when it’s busy, and parking may take some patience. It's a great spot for outdoor dining, live music, and casual drinks with a view.

Mixed Experience: Great Fish, Flawed Benedict
My experience at this restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. The fish & chips were excellent, featuring crunchy batter, good fries, and a delicious tartar sauce. However, my husband's poached eggs for the Benedict were overcooked, appearing nearly hardboiled after sitting in the steamer too long.
While he ended up liking them, this is definitely not how a Benedict should be prepared, so diners should be cautious when ordering this dish.

Disappointing Caesar Salad and Lobster
I was excited about my $30 Caesar salad, which included a $17 salad and $13 for added lobster. Unfortunately, the salad dressing was inadequate and tasteless, feeling like it came straight from packaging. This immediately made the $17 Caesar taste more like a $7-$10 salad.
The lobster consisted of only two tiny pieces of claw, with no menu fine print explaining this limitation. I had expected larger tail chunks. Overall, the entire combo was worth, perhaps, $15 at most.
The rest felt like it was covering rent costs. Be aware of this when ordering.

Delicious Food, Poor Service Experience
I ordered bread which was delicious, and so was the butter. When I had bread and butter left, I asked for a container to take it home. Unfortunately, the server rudely dumped the butter in the box.
While the quality of food was excellent, I would go back but would like to leave with a better taste in my mouth regarding the service.

Fantastic Venue with Delicious Food!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The venue itself is awesome, with beautiful interiors that I absolutely loved. Its proximity to the park and beach was also a major plus.
Every course we had was tasty, and the service was equally impressive, with special shout-outs to Whitney and manager Kirsten. Everyone in our party complimented the location and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the service.

Great Views, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was relatively good, and the drinks weren’t bad either. However, the service was absolutely abysmal.
We waited over ten minutes just for water and to place our initial drink order. To make matters worse, our server forgot to put in one of the entrees. After our first drinks, during which we also ordered our food, the server didn’t return for another 30 minutes.
Getting the check was an absolute pain. The only redeeming quality is the views, which are great and seem to be the primary reason people visit.

Wonderful Park Chalet Experience
My experience at The Park Chalet was consistently wonderful. The food was very good with a decent variety. I found the location and atmosphere to be great, although the inside can get pretty noisy when busy.
The service was always friendly and welcoming. It's a great place to enjoy some food and a beer with friends and your dog, while your kids run wild and free in the outskirts of Golden Gate Park. The kid-friendliness is exceptional; it's the perfect place to bring the kids.
My 5-year-old joined a group of other kids on the lawn for a game of tag, and we even broke out bubbles for them to chase. This is a normal occurrence there, and no one is bothered; they even enjoy watching the kids play. We experienced free parking in a lot with plenty of space.
The price per person was between $20–30, and we had indoor dining with no wait time.

Great Food, Relaxed Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was great, especially after a walk. It's not a fancy place, but the food was great. The WPA murals next door are also a nice addition to the experience.

Great Outdoor Spot for Families and Beer Lovers
We visited this restaurant last weekend with friends and had a wonderful experience. It's a great place if you enjoy being outdoors, especially if you have children and/or dogs, as it's very child and pet friendly. The food was nice; I particularly enjoyed the burger with poblano peppers, which was very tasty.
It's also a good option for beer enthusiasts, as they have their own brewery.
