Best Pakistani Food in California!
This is my favorite spot for Pakistani Food. I have traveled throughout California and been to many Indian restaurants and food trucks, yet this is the best one out of all. It’s a must every time I come to San Francisco, definitely recommended.
I honestly always get the same dish: chicken tikka masala, a side of rice, and of course my favorite cheese naan!

Missing Order - Disappointing Experience
My experience at Pakwan was extremely disappointing. Upon arriving home and opening my order, I discovered that half of my order was missing. This was a truly sickening experience.

Best Indian Food Ever!
I’ve eaten a lot of Indian food in my life and this is some of the best I’ve ever had. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was also rated a perfect 5. The service also received a perfect 5 rating.

Great Food, Okay Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable. The location was also a plus.
However, the environment and cleanness were just average, rated at 3. 5 stars. The service wasn't bad, but it could be improved with a simple smile to make the experience more welcoming.

Good Food, Spartan Space
My experience at this restaurant was centered around the consistently good food. The space itself is described as spartan yet functional. While the service is minimal, they do ensure tables are cleared for the next guests.
I often opt to sit outside at the tables set up on the sidewalk.

Overhyped with a Fluffy Naan
My experience at this restaurant was not the best in the US, and it felt overly hyped. However, the naan was so fluffy it almost felt like a cushion. Something about the food was really off, and I would not recommend it for vegetarians.

Stale and Sour Food Experience
This was my first time visiting SF and my first time ordering from Pakwan. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing as I received stale food. The potato in the Hyderabad biryani had gone sour, and the mix veg curry was inedible.

Terrible for Vegetarians
As a vegetarian, I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. The management's apparent disregard for vegetarian options is evident, making it feel as though our dietary needs are not valued. It would be better to simply remove these dishes if they are not going to be taken seriously.

Genuinely Good Food, Worth the Pickiness
As someone who is very picky about food flavor, I found this restaurant to be a true 5/5 in taste. The food is consistently satisfying, rich, and flavorful. I was particularly impressed with their vegan options, managing to make biryani and masala taste amazing without ghee or butter.
The service is good; while it's more of a self-ordering place, the workers are polite and the food comes out quickly. I would recommend this place if you want genuinely good food.
