When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before. Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.

They also seem to dislike providing utensils and often mix dry and steamed food in one container. I witnessed them putting dropped food back into the steamer to sell to unsuspecting customers. My experience at this restaurant was early morning dim sum heaven! Oooo it was all so good. The shrimp dumplings were out of this world flavor, and there was some other shrimp thing I have to go back and get again because it was so good. The ladies cooking and serving were super nice. Although the baked pork buns were not available until 11 am, the dumplings and shumai were fantastic. The veggies were so good too! I definitely recommend this place, and they are open at 7 am! They also have chicken feet if you love them.
