Cash needed for dim sum variety
You will need cash and a lot of it because of how many varieties of dimsum they offer. The food received a score of 4 out of 5, while service and atmosphere were rated lower at 3 and 2 respectively.

Reliable Dim Sum in Sunset District
When I'm in the Sunset District in San Francisco, I like to pick up some bao at Mongkok Dim Sum before I go home. They were busier a few years ago, but the line is much shorter now compared to a few years ago after a competitor opened in the area. Their dim sum is still good, and the service is pretty much the same as before.
Fast and easy is good for me. I’ll still stop by next time I’m in the area.

Mongjok Dim Sum: Bay Area Dim Sum Rival
My experience at Mongjok Dim Sum was excellent. The food quality is as good as, or even better than, some of the other Dim Sum restaurants I've tried around the Bay Area. It's a place that truly rivals established favorites.

Terrible Experience, Avoid This Place
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. I received dried pork shu mai and was refused an exchange. The staff member became rude when I ordered by pieces.
They also seem to dislike providing utensils and often mix dry and steamed food in one container. I witnessed them putting dropped food back into the steamer to sell to unsuspecting customers. I will not be returning.

Great Food, Tight Space
My experience at this restaurant was marked by great quality food and reasonable prices. The atmosphere was a bit tight, but this is understandable as it's usually busy. Overall, it's a great place to stop for a bite to eat or a meal to take home.

Great Takeout Dim Sum
My experience at this dim sum place was great for takeout. My favorites were the Ha gow, Siu Mai, and especially the cha siu bao, which was packed with a lot of BBQ pork filling. The prices are reasonable for the Sunset area.
The ladies working in the shop were very friendly. Overall, it's a great option for a take-out dim sum spot.

Shrinking Portions, Long Lines
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The line was shorter than the one across the street, which was a positive start. However, the pork meat bun was not acceptable because the amount of meat has been shrinking to a smaller size.
This indicates a decline in food quality, specifically regarding portion sizes. Despite this, the recommended dishes include Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. The service received a score of 4, and the atmosphere also received a 4, suggesting a generally pleasant environment and adequate service.
The meal was for lunch, with a price range of $20–30 per person, and the overall food score was 3.

Rip-off Hot Dogs and Buns
I felt like I was cheated at this restaurant. Although they charged full price, I only received half of what I expected. Their hot dog buns, which are wrapped in a croissant-like bun on the outside, are a complete rip-off.
They cut the hot dogs in HALF lengthwise. I confronted the owner about this practice, warning her that once customers discover this scheme, they won't return, as first impressions are hard to erase. I spent $46 on food yesterday.

Good Food, Terrible Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was good, but the service was a significant letdown. I encountered rude cashiers and experienced bad customer service.
Specifically, I received cold sticky rice and was overcharged. It seems like if you don't pay close attention, they will charge whatever they want. I will never again return to this establishment.

Dim Sum Heaven - A Must-Try!
My experience at this restaurant was early morning dim sum heaven! Oooo it was all so good. The shrimp dumplings were out of this world flavor, and there was some other shrimp thing I have to go back and get again because it was so good.
The ladies cooking and serving were super nice. Although the baked pork buns were not available until 11 am, the dumplings and shumai were fantastic. The veggies were so good too!
I definitely recommend this place, and they are open at 7 am! They also have chicken feet if you love them.
