Fantastic Holiday Menu Standouts
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially with their holiday menu. The butternut squash soup and the slow cooked lamb hindquarter over risotto were absolute standouts. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score.

Moldy Cake and Dismissive Service
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Mondello restaurant was truly disappointing. While the main dishes were decent, the “cake of the day” we were served had visible mold. When we brought this to the staff’s attention, the hostess offered a very dismissive apology and remarked that “these things happen”, even suggesting it must’ve happened to us before.
What really ruined the experience wasn’t just the mistake, but the lack of genuine concern or accountability from the staff. Accidents can happen in any restaurant, but how they’re handled makes all the difference. Unfortunately, this response left us with one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as the restaurant does have potential, but food safety and respectful customer care need immediate attention.

Authentic Italian Gem with Exceptional Service
From the moment we walked in, this restaurant delivered an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and authentically Italian—perfect for a romantic night out or a cozy dinner with friends. The food?
Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor, clearly made from fresh, high-quality ingredients and prepared with care. From the homemade pasta to the perfectly balanced sauces, everything was cooked to perfection.
A standout element of the night was the owner herself—gracious, welcoming, and fully engaged with her guests. She worked the floor with such passion and presence, making sure everyone felt right at home. It's rare to see that kind of personal touch, and it truly elevated the experience.
If you’re looking for delicious Italian cuisine served in a warm and genuine setting, this is the place. Can’t wait to return!

Authentic Italian Gem with Family Charm
If you’re looking for real-deal Italian with that warm, family-owned charm, this place is it. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted like you’ve been part of the family for years. I ordered the polpo and… wow.
Perfectly tender, smoky from the grill, and seasoned to absolute perfection—it’s one of those dishes you remember long after the last bite. Finished the night with a cannoli that might actually ruin all future cannoli for me—crispy shell, velvety sweet ricotta, just the right touch of powdered sugar. Great food, great people, great vibes.
This is the kind of spot you almost don’t want to tell too many people about because it feels like your own little secret.

Excellent Sicilian Food and Charming Atmosphere
My experience at Mondello Italian restaurant in Magnolia was excellent. It's a Sicilian-style restaurant located in a cute little area, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant has a charming look and feel, and the staff was nice and direct.
The food was delicious and amazing; we will definitely go back. The pasta is fresh and made daily. The smoked salmon ravioli was excellent, and the fettuccine di mare was also great.
The kids enjoyed their mac & cheese and lasagna, thinking it was good. Overall, the food is great, and it was nice sitting outside.
