Great Food, Good Vibes
My experience at this restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I found it after walking to go somewhere else, and it turned out to be a great find. The clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl was good, and the mac and cheese was also tasty.
I especially enjoyed the grant milkshake, which was really good. The overall atmosphere and food quality were excellent, with both rated a 5 out of 5.

Classic American Diner Experience
This is the classic American diner! The service was good and fast, and the food was good. I ordered the pancakes with bacon, and they were good!
Manny's attention was exceptional!

Disappointing Diner Experience
My experience at the restaurant was genuinely disappointing. I was hoping for a classic, authentic diner experience, but unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The tomato soup tasted more like thick pasta sauce, and the turkey club featured the most flavorless, dry turkey I've ever had.
The overall food quality was a significant letdown.

Expensive Burger, Unwelcoming Service
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a surprisingly high bill for a simple meal. I was charged 43USD for a burger and a coke. Adding to the disappointment, the waitress seemed uninterested and unwelcoming, giving the impression that she didn't want me there.

Fun Experience with Fresh Food
Mel's was a super fun experience and the authenticity was on point! We all enjoyed the food, and everything was so fresh. The burger was definitely fresh meat, and the fries tasted hand cut.
We stumbled across the place as we were exploring the city, but I would absolutely come back!

Overpriced and Poor Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food was mediocre and vastly overpriced. The wait staff were not helpful and very abrupt.
It took ages to get our order taken, despite the restaurant being nearly empty with only three other tables occupied. For vegetarians, there wasn't much offered, and the vegetarian offerings were clearly labeled, but the recommendation for vegetarians was 'Would not recommend'.

Decent Food, Lacking Service
My experience at this restaurant was decent overall. The food was decent, and I'd rate it a 4 out of 4. The atmosphere was also quite good, earning a 4 out of 4.
However, the service was a significant letdown, scoring a 2 out of 4. The staff seemed put off when we ordered water, and then again when I requested ice for our lukewarm water. This lack of attentiveness and apparent annoyance detracted from the dining experience.

Subpar Breakfast and Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Although the place didn't seem too busy upon entering, the service was pretty slow. It took a while to place our order, and then another 30 minutes to receive our breakfast.
I ordered a Denver omelet, which was subpar. While the ingredients seemed fresh, it was some of the most bland food I've ever had. I also tried the chili and hash browns, noting that the peppers in the omelet were cut into wildly varying sizes.
The historic nature of the place was interesting, but I wouldn’t recommend the food we had for the price.

Disappointing Breakfast Experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, particularly with the food. We ordered a sunshine breakfast, which included two beef patties with eggs on a potatoes ring, and a side of hash browns. Unfortunately, the patties were dry and cold, and while the eggs were okay, the potatoes ring was essentially raw potato soaked in oil.
The hash browns were also crunchy and stale. To add to the disappointment, the hot dog we ordered was also cold. This was our first visit, and it's unlikely we'll be returning.
