As a world traveler and a picky sandwich connoisseur, Ike's has earned a top spot among my all-time favorites. I was particularly impressed that they perfectly replicated the Pence Special I used to enjoy in Scottsdale. The Godfather sauce is truly unmatched, and the menu offers endless options for any craving. I also appreciate their veteran discount, a thoughtful gesture that doesn't go unnoticed. The highlight of my visit, however, was Andrew at the counter. His welcoming demeanor, excellent recommendations, and genuinely engaging personality made him the star of the show. As a hospitality manager, I wish more employees possessed even half of his energy, warmth, and guest-focused mindset. He's an absolute asset to the team, and I hope leadership recognizes his value. The food was great, but the service was even better. I would honestly drive from Chula Vista again just to be served by Andrew. THANK YOU!

I walked in around 8: 00 PM. One girl was wrapping meats, and two gentlemen were talking by the meat slicer. She looked at me, then at one of the gentlemen, who then looked at me and moved out of view. I stood there for quite some time. It seemed like they were more interested in conversing and closing, so I left. Screw this place; I went to Arby's.

The food was rated a perfect 5, the service was a flawless 5, and the atmosphere also received a 5. They offer a vegetarian menu or section and it's highly recommended for vegetarians. Parking was a breeze with a free parking lot and plenty of parking. The wait time was non-existent, with no wait. The meal was for lunch, and the price per person ranged from $30–50.

It was clear I had found the right place to satisfy my hunger. At the counter, a cheery young gentleman helped me navigate the overwhelming menu. He expertly described the various sandwich options, bread types, savory meats, and cheeses. When I couldn't decide, he recommended his favorite: the Madison Bumgarner – a hot steak sandwich with BBQ sauce, pepper jack, American cheese, and a "dirty sauce. " I eagerly ordered it with a side of chips and a soda. My name was called shortly after, and my sandwich was handed over with a kind smile. I sat down and unwrapped the warm Madison Bumgarner. The aroma was incredibly fresh and flavorful. After a moment of gratitude, I took my first bite. The flavor was amazing, with so many layers of deliciousness. The young gentleman gave me a knowing smile and a thumbs up, which I returned with a deep sigh of satisfaction. The soft, warm bread was perfect. Overall, the sandwiches are great, and there's truly something for everyone. I highly recommend saying hello to the young gentleman!
