Excellent Chinese Food, Clean Restaurant
My experience at this restaurant was overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the food. The Chinese cuisine was excellent, with perfectly cooked rice and well-seasoned, expertly prepared dishes. It's evident that the chef truly loves their craft.
The restaurant itself is very clean, and while there's limited seating downstairs, more is available upstairs. The service was decent, contributing to a pleasant dining experience.

Disappointing Food Experience
I was so excited to try this place, however, I was very disappointed with the food. The Lumpia had no flavor, the Fried Crab Cheese Puff was just okay, and the Sweet & Sour chicken was average. The atmosphere was also very poor, rated at 1 out of 5.

Generous Portions, Inattentive Service
My experience at this restaurant offered decent Chinese American fare with really generous portions. The hot & sour soup was particularly satisfying as the fog rolled in thick. It was nice to see genuine chilli crisp on the table.
The business seems to be primarily takeout-focused, as evidenced by the limited seating area with only three small tables. Unfortunately, the service was inattentive, even though I visited during a non-busy time, and my table was missing utensils. The vegetarian selection is large and highly recommended for vegetarians.

Flavorless Food, Odd Service
This is a straightforward, small, no-frills restaurant in the Castro with tight seating around the kitchen and a 'loft-like' upstairs area. Our experience was quite disappointing. While the first server took our orders, the food presentation was unusual.
We were given little side plates, smaller than a salad plate, and noticed other diners eating directly from the serving plates, which we found unacceptable. This meant we had to eat our food one item at a time. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup, "Viggies" Chow Mein, Braised 'Crispy' Chicken, Moo Shu Pork, and a small Asahi beer.
The Braised Crispy Chicken was advertised as 'really spicy, ' but honestly, it and all the other dishes were flat and flavorless. Even adding the chili oil at the table didn't help, as it was also flat. We pointed this out to the server, who was shocked when my partner chewed on a pepper to demonstrate its lack of heat.
The peppers were flavorless with zero heat. Additionally, I had to ask twice for my beer. Overall, it was not a great or even good experience.

Best Dumplings in the Castro!
Yum! What a find. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the Castro.
The dumplings are fresh and not overcooked or too salty like other local restaurants on Castro. They offer a great selection of Chinese and Asiatic foods. The service was good and the atmosphere was comfortable.
It's also the only Chinese restaurant I've been to in SF recently that serves Chinese Mustard, which I enjoy, having been served with Dim Sum in the 90's. Although a bit hidden, I will be back and will make this our Dim Sum and Chinese food destination in the Castro.

Great Lunch Deal and Flavorful Mongolian Beef
I just found this place today and I think their lunch special is a great deal. You get an entree with white rice, hot and sour soup, and a fortune cookie for ~$14. The entree is generous sized, so I have leftovers to take home as well.
I got the Mongolian beef, and it was the perfect medium spicy level for me. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu. Hopefully, with others so I can try more things.
:) The restaurant has 3 tables inside, but also a couple of counter seats. They let me sit at a bigger table for lunch even though it was just me. Overall, a lovely lunch option.
It’s tucked away behind the gas station on 17th Street. So, the hardest part is just finding it.

Delicious American Chinese Food!
My experience at the restaurant was quite positive. I tried the Sesame Chicken, XLB, and Bao Buns, and found them all to be delicious. It's great to finally have a good and well-priced restaurant in this location.
I'm very glad about this addition to the area and hope it does well for Hulu.
