My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed the good beer and yummy food. I particularly loved the czecvar beer paired with the bacon mac n cheese. Additionally, the bartender was a nice guy.

This is a great place to hang out with my friends. It's very close to USF. I haven't seen any USF grad students yet, but it is Summer. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. Parking can be a bit tricky, with difficult to find parking, but there are free street parking options. Down the hill, there's a market with underground parking, which is rare in SF. Wheelchair accessibility might be an issue getting to the location as it's up a hill, but the inside is fine with low tables that can be wheeled up to.

I've been coming here for years, especially when a friend lived nearby. Neil has done a lot to improve the place, and the food has definitely gotten better. I tried the fish and chips, which came with thin, crispy fries and three pieces of fish. It was served with tartar sauce, vinegar, and a spicier red dip. They offer a wide beer selection, and I always appreciate their nice Chardonnay. They also host pub quizzes.

My experience at this restaurant was excellent. They offer a good bistro menu and the bar menu is good too. It's hard to go wrong with any of their selections.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I had the chicken kebab, which was incredible. The healthy salads on the menu were also a great addition. The service was exceptional, thanks to Neil, the bartender. He was wonderful, funny, and hard working, ensuring I was well taken care of. The atmosphere was also a highlight, rated a 5 out of 5.

I decided to come in for an early dinner around 5/6pm and found the atmosphere to be very nice with a good vibe. The bartender greeted us politely and allowed us to sit anywhere. We started with the Hummus Plate, which was an incredible tasting appetizer and some of the better hummus I’ve had. Although the pita had some black grill or oven soot, it was still fantastic. The olives, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber were all very fresh and tasty. For my main dish, I ordered their basic burger. My food arrived in a timely manner and the presentation looked great. The fries were indistinguishable from McDonald’s, but in a good way, and they hit the spot! However, the burger was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The patty was inconsistently cooked, with pockets of pink but large sections closer to medium-well (I ordered medium). The patty was very fatty and chewy, taking at least a minute to get down with each bite. The bun was also poorly toasted and chewy. The biggest offense, though, was the produce: the tomato slices were not ripe, the pickles were discolored and tasted old, and the lettuce was chewy with black specs along the edges. This seems like a great social place for drinks and appetizers, but if you want a full meal, I’d recommend you keep looking.

I drove all the way here only to find out the restaurant is CLOSED until August. It's really not cool that the Google hours weren't updated. This was a frustrating experience.

I was looking for a chilled spot to grab a drink, and Gambrinus certainly delivered! They have an amazing selection of hard-to-find beer. The food was described as great European pub style fair, and the atmosphere was warm. Gambrinus truly lives up to its name, offering an easy, friendly pub experience. Nael, in particular, was an absolute gem.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed the great European food, particularly the schnitzel and stroganoff. The beer choices were also a highlight, with a majority of European selections including dark and light Polish, German, and Belgian beers. I've been visiting this spot sporadically over the years and am happy to report that I love this spot and hope it stays for years to come.
