Great Fried Chicken, Watch Your Order
My experience at this restaurant was centered around their fried chicken, which I found to be some of the best in Seattle. However, there's a significant caveat: you need to ensure you receive everything you've paid for. I was shorted on my order more than once.
The key to resolving this is to address it immediately. If you point out the issue right away, they are willing to correct it. Unfortunately, if you discover the shortage after getting home, their response is less helpful, with a polite but unhelpful "that sucks.

Disappointing Experience at Ezell's
My experience at Ezell's tonight was very disappointing. We arrived around 7: 30 PM, on our way back from Vashon ferry. Despite there being four people working, they were loudly talking amongst themselves and ignoring customers.
To make matters worse, there was no dark meat chicken available, only a few old-looking spicy breasts and wings. The service was rude. People in front of us walked out, and we were told it would be ready in 25 minutes, but no one made any effort to prepare the chicken.
It's very sad and a bad service experience. I used to love Ezell's, but now it's a total crap shoot; you never know what you're going to get!

Okay Fried Chicken, Great Staff
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. While the staff was really great and friendly, as always, the food was just okay. It tasted fine, but I found other fried chicken to be much juicier and more flavorful.
It was also more expensive than expected, and they left out the muffin for one of the orders. The atmosphere was decent, but not outstanding.

Good but could be spicier
My experience at this restaurant was overall pretty good. The fried chicken was a highlight, though I found the spicy chicken to not be spicy at all, which was my only complaint about the chicken. The BBQ beans were good, but a bit too sweet for my taste, coming from Texas where BBQ is prevalent.
I really enjoyed the ranch and honey mustard sauces, finding them very nice.

Cheated on Portion Sizes
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the inaccurate portion sizes. I ordered a 1 pound chicken tenders and only received 7 tenders, which was insufficient for two people. Additionally, my usual 1/2 pound of chicken gizzards appeared to be closer to 1/3 of a pound than expected.
These discrepancies have led me to feel cheated and have caused them to lose my business.

Disappointing Consistency at Ezell's
While I can't comment on the atmosphere as we haven't dined in, the workers at this Ezell's location were nice, though perhaps a bit overwhelmed during the dinner rush. Unfortunately, this location doesn't match the consistency of food found at other Ezell's. Moving to WS, I was excited to find a location here, having previously enjoyed the Wallingford and Central District branches, especially the CD one which has been consistently good for over 20 years.
However, the WS location missed the mark on seasoning. The gravy tasted like flour water and was a light brown, unlike the darker brown gravy at other locations. The rolls were pale, and a couple were not fully baked.
The chicken tenders, while well-breaded, lacked seasoning. We were disappointed overall, marking the second time we've been let down. We hope for improvement, as we do enjoy the flavor when it's done right.

Great crew and delicious food!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. I love the crew at this location. We order regularly and not only do we enjoy the food, but the people who work here recognize us when we come to pick up.

Good Food, Service Needs Improvement
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. The food was generally good, although I found it a bit pricey for the quality. It's still a fun place to visit every few months.
The location is very convenient, with plenty of parking near the Thriftway. However, the staff could be friendlier; they weren't rude, but their demeanor suggested they didn't want to be there. I did receive a refund for a missing item, which shows the company handles customer issues correctly, but the friendliness at this specific location needs improvement.
I personally prefer the U-District location.
