Extremely Disappointed with Service and Hours
I am very disappointed with the customer service at this place. They state opening hours of 9 AM to 6 PM on their website, but when we arrived at 4: 30 PM, we were told they were already closed, even with the doors open! 🙅♀️😡 We will never come back!
It's a shame that Doña Mago sold the place 🙂↔️ It's never open, and when it is, they claim to be closed at an hour that is not what is indicated on the website. 👎

Incorrect Google Maps Hours
My experience at this restaurant was frustrating because the hours listed on Google Maps are consistently incorrect. I tried to visit Doña Mago, but the restaurant was closed on the days they claimed to be open. Please update the hours to the true operating times so customers can plan their visits accordingly.

Beloved Local Burrito Spot
My experience at this burrito spot on my block, which I love dearly, was wonderful. Inside, there is a sweet man who looks like Mark Ruffalo and treats everyone so kindly.

Allergic Reaction to Beans in Burrito
During lunch time in downtown San Francisco, the restaurant was nearly empty with only two tables occupied. My friend and I decided to dine in. I ordered a burrito with no beans and a Coke.
The staff offered chips and salsa, and we received a small bowl of chips but no salsa initially. Our drinks arrived later, and I was given a Diet Pepsi instead of a Coke. The salsa was brought out a few minutes after that.
When our burritos were served, my chicken burrito contained beans, which I am allergic to. This was my experience; I hope yours is better.

Amazing Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was incredibly fresh, and I had the best customer service. I would super recommend this place; I even overheard someone at a nearby table saying the same thing.

A Pleasant Surprise for Mexican Food
I stopped in for lunch last weekend after running some mid-day errands. It's a very modest restaurant, but I was very impressed with the quality of my meal, from the salsa with my chips as the appetizer to my enchilada plate to the watermelon cooler (I can't recall exactly what it was called). Coming from AZ, I haven't been impressed with the quality of Mexican food in the bay area in general, but this is an exception.
It was very good imo, and a good value. The staff was also friendly. It was a nice surprise on my Saturday, and I'll come here again if I'm nearby.

Excellent Enchiladas and Quesadillas!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was great, with the Enchiladas Verdes being the best I've had in a while. The Quesadillas were also a step above the rest.
The service was good, and the interior was simple. Prices were reasonable, making this a potential go-to Mexican restaurant.

Disappointing Experience, Miss Previous Owners
I hate having to write this, as I definitely miss the previous owners. I placed a phone order and arrived 10 minutes later. My experience was disappointing: the menudo was basically room temperature, and the carne asada torta had the smallest steak portion I've gotten compared to any other place in the city.
I am very heartbroken 💔 😞.

Burnt Carnitas Burrito - Unchewable Meat
My experience at the restaurant was extremely disappointing due to the food quality. I ordered a carnitas burrito that was burnt to a crisp. The meat was unchewable and rock hard, which unfortunately made the entire burrito taste like burnt gravy, even after I tried to remove the affected meat.

Shocking lack of humanity, but a customer helped
My experience at Dona Mago was deeply unsettling. After being physically attacked and needing EMS, with my clothes ripped from escaping a violent encounter, I sought help at Dona Mago, the closest open establishment. I asked if they could call for me, but they looked at me, told me "No, " and instructed me to leave.
I was shocked by this lack of humanity. Fortunately, a customer intervened and called for help. Thank you to that customer for their kindness.
Dona Mago's service was a shocking lack of humanity, but a customer's intervention was a lifesaver.
