Delicious food, kind service!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I absolutely love the food here; it's always flavorful and leaves me feeling good after eating. The service is always very kind and accommodating.
I always intend to take pictures, but then the food arrives and I get too focused on enjoying it 😅.

Mixed Bag: Great Food, Disappointing Dessert
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The service was incredibly quick, and the food arrived piping hot, much faster than anticipated. The dishes were quiet, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice.
While some items were a bit oily, I understand that's part of their preparation. I really appreciated the variety of dishes, especially discovering new South Indian options. However, the dessert experience significantly detracted from the overall meal.
We wanted a specialty item that was sold out, and when we ordered the Falooda, it took over 30 minutes to arrive. We suspect it was frozen and being defrosted, as it was served semi-frozen and definitely not worth the wait. The ambience was typical for an Indian restaurant, not particularly aesthetic.
We were in a back room that felt a bit enclosed. Despite this, the place was clearly popular, as it became very packed by the time we left.

Disappointing Food Quality
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food served was clearly stale and had simply been reheated. Even after being offered two complimentary mango lassis to make up for it, the quality of the meal was poor and lacked flavor.
I would recommend avoiding this place if possible.

Terrible Service, Mediocre Food
My experience at this restaurant was marked by a significant waiting time after being seated. Despite asking for a menu, I was made to wait even longer. This led to a worst customer experience overall.
The food quality was also disappointing, rated at a 2, while the service received a 1. The atmosphere was rated a 4, with a loud noise level that still allowed for conversation.

Amazing Food and Service in SD
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The food was amazing, and the service was equally impressive. It's one of the very few places in San Diego that offers such good food.
The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service was also a 5. The noise level was quiet, making it easy to talk. The price per person is between $10–20, and it's highly recommended for vegetarians.
The seating is in an indoor dining area.

Mixed Biryani Experience at Anjappar
During a holiday trip to California, after a tiring San Diego zoo visit, my tummy craved some nice biryani. Although I initially planned for Charminar, after visiting Anjappar in Atlanta and Dallas, I chose to visit the one in San Diego. I ordered Mushroom 65, Gobi 65, Appam and egg curry, dosa, and the twisted paneer 65 biryani.
Every dish was tasty and filled my appetite. However, we waited 40 minutes for the paneer biryani, and it arrived warm. Upon tasting it, I questioned if it could even be called biryani.
The owner explained that it took 45 minutes to warm the biryani in a microwave and serve it pale, with the chef literally adding paneer 65 to morning-made biryani. The owner's explanation of this process was quite amazing. I would definitely recommend all other dishes but not any vegetarian biryanis.
Sorry, but thank you.

Authentic South Indian Delight!
My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional. The food was beyond expectations, with the sambhar being incredibly delicious and the kal dosa being a personal favorite – a must-try at least once in a lifetime. The atmosphere perfectly captured the essence of South India, further enhanced by the fact that the chefs hail from the southern part of India.
The food and atmosphere were both rated a perfect 5, indicating a fantastic dining experience.
