Poor customer service experience
I was picking up an order via DoorDash and was running late due to work. The restaurant closed at 9 PM, and I arrived around 8: 20 PM. One of the staff members asked me, "Why are you so late?
" I found this comment to be rude, especially since they were still open. I was picking up for myself, not as a DoorDasher. The customer service was not good at all.

Disappointing Korean Meal, Lacking Value
I came here craving some comforting Korean food but unfortunately left a bit disappointed. The galbi came out burnt, which really took away from its flavor and tenderness. The soup looked hearty but ended up being less flavorful than expected, offering more heat than depth.
Considering the meal was on the pricier side, it didn’t quite feel worth the value. The banchan selection was decent, but overall, I wouldn’t rush back.

Scam! Pre-made food served fast.
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered two bbq meats, but they arrived within 5 minutes and were clearly pan-fried and pre-made, not charcoal grilled. The tofu soup also came out in 2 minutes and tasted like ramen base.
This place felt like a scam.

Poor Food and Service, Avoid This Place
My experience at this restaurant was very poor. The food quality and service were disappointing. Despite staff being nearby, no one greeted me for about five minutes.
They also have a policy of not providing charcoal unless you order more than needed, claiming the BBQ meat would be cooked in the kitchen. However, the two BBQ meat dishes we received took only three minutes to serve and tasted like they were microwaved, completely lacking any charcoal flavor. To add to the issues, they charged around 120 for just three small dishes.
I strongly advise avoiding this place!

Excellent Food and Service!
My experience at this restaurant was EXCELLENT! I couldn't get into Brothers up the street, so I decided to check this place out. They have glowing charcoal table grills.
I only had the marinaded short rib and shrimp and tofu soup, but everything was SOLID. The service was on point, and the banchan was excellent. I will definitely be back for sure.
Thank you!

Amazing Food, Worth the Effort
My experience at this restaurant was defined by its amazing food. It was truly worth the experience, even with the caveat that you might have to cook your own food. However, I'd recommend trying to get the staff to cook it for you if they aren't too busy.
The food received a perfect score of 5, and the service and atmosphere were also rated highly at 5.

Authentic Charcoal Galbi - Taste of Home
This is the only authentic Korean charcoal Galbi BBQ place in the Bay Area. I hope the owner lady can stay healthy and happy for a long time. When I have a Korean BBQ craving, I am visiting with my family.
This is the best and tastes like my hometown.

Reservation Made, Restaurant Closed
My family and I made a whole reservation, only for it to be closed with no notice. We drove all the way to the city just to be greeted with a sign stating it is closed for construction until the 27th, yet it still allowed us to make a reservation for the 31st.

Disappointing Experience, Except for Kimchi
I was hoping for the charcoal BBQ, but despite seeing someone else enjoy it, I was told it wasn't available. We ended up with butane BBQ, which was disappointing as I can do that at home. The meat itself was just 'meh, ' tasting like it had been previously frozen for a long time, with a noticeable freezer burn flavor.
It was particularly upsetting to see another table, a fully Korean family, enjoying their food so much. I visited twice, for lunch and dinner, to give the restaurant another chance, but was quite disappointed overall. The only positive was the fantastic kimchi.
I would give it a 2-star overall.

Authentic Korean with Hits and Misses
My experience at this restaurant offered some truly authentic Korean food. I particularly enjoyed the Pajeon, a seafood pancake that was crispy on the edge and soft in the middle – really good! However, the accompanying sauce was too salty for my taste.
The Galbi (BBQ beef short ribs) were very flavorful and moist, though a bit on the chewy side, which might have been due to how they were cut. The Galbi Tang (beef soup) was exceptional; the beef was incredibly soft and tender, unlike in many other Korean places where I usually leave the meat untouched. The Rice cake soup was also very good, though I still preferred the Galbi Tang.
The Kimchi Pork Belly was really yummy, a little spicy, and very addictive. The Chapjae (stir-fried yam noodles) were very good. Unfortunately, the Pan fried Mackerel was on the dry side and too salty.
Overall, I highly recommend the Galbi, pancake, beef soup, and stir-fried yam noodles.
