Authentic Israeli Experience with Delicious Food
Visiting from Minnesota, I stopped with my son on the way to his house for lunch. He highly recommended the food, and as soon as I walked in, I felt like I was back in Israel. We ordered the Snitzel plate, which was delicious, as was everything that came with it. Everyone that worked there was friendly and welcoming.

Delicious Israeli Food with a Cultural Experience
This Israeli shop is always bustling, and my two visits confirmed its popularity. While I'm not one to get political, I did notice posters supporting IDF retreats. On my first visit, I tried the chicken shawarma for $26. It was quite pricey, but it was undeniably one of the best shawarmas I've ever had, making it worth the cost. I also learned about their Friday Hala schnitzel special. Craving schnitzel, I returned today to try it. The staff were consistently super nice and friendly on both occasions, offering a warm welcome. I enjoyed the schnitzel, though I was unsure what to add. The staff member loaded it with various toppings, which somewhat overpowered the schnitzel's flavor. I definitely preferred the shawarma. The schnitzel was also around $25. 00, which is a bit pricey, but I appreciated the good quality food and didn't mind the cost. The atmosphere was vibrant today, with a palpable sense of culture. I observed individuals reading from scriptures in what I believe was Hebrew or Jewish. As a Catholic-raised white woman, I found this aspect fascinating. The overall vibe was very positive, and an older gentleman even wished me a Shabbat Shalom, a greeting I had to look up. I later learned it signifies peace, prosperity, and happiness, and I was grateful for the thoughtful gesture. Overall, it's a place with good vibes and quality food.

Authentic Israeli Flavors, Huge Portions!
My experience at this restaurant was incredibly delicious and authentically Israeli. They serve huge portions with so much heart. On Fridays, they have challah and schnitzel with matbucha (cooked salad) – it's unbeatable! It brings back memories of home, and you won't be disappointed. If you're in San Diego, it's worth coming here to taste it. While they are open all week, Fridays are a real "show. " Don't miss it. My friends ate meat, and I had cauliflower shawarma, which was a hit. Vegetarians, don't miss out!

Best Sandwich of the Year!
I was told to expect the best sandwich of my day, but I received the best sandwich of my YEAR, easily. The flavors were so incredible, I could literally drink the amba here. This is one of those spots you're torn between telling everyone about or keeping it a secret to avoid long lines when its true quality is discovered. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere was great, contributing to an overall fantastic experience.

Out of this world Israeli food!
My experience at Hamitbach in San Diego was absolutely out of this world! We ordered the kebab, schnitzel, cauliflower, rice, and fries, and every single item was delicious. The food tasted straight out of Israel, was so yummy, and incredibly fresh. The service was great, and we experienced no wait. If you're visiting San Diego and keep kosher, or even if you don't, this is definitely a spot you should hit up. I highly recommend it!

Amazing Kosher Mediterranean Food!
My experience at this kosher restaurant was amazing. The service was good and the food came quickly. I believe it's one of the only kosher restaurants in San Diego, but it's above and beyond any other kosher restaurants I've eaten at. The Asi special dish was super good and the pita steak was awesome. I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone who wants good Mediterranean kosher food.
