Ambience (2.6 out of 10)

mentioned by 14% of the guests

When it comes to ambience, this spot unfortunately struggles quite a bit, reflected in a poor 2.6 score and a very low 18.8% customer satisfaction. While a few patrons (3 out of 16 comments) did appreciate the easy parking and some even felt a unique New York atmosphere, these positive notes are few and far between. The overwhelming sentiment, however, points to significant issues.

Many found the place itself to be disgusting dirty, with frequent mentions of dusty floors, dirty tables, and neglected windows and walls. The general consensus is that the hygiene and presentation are severely lacking, with the space feeling very dated and in dire need of an upgrade.

mentioned by 11% of the guests

Even though the overall value score sits at a rather low 3.9, a few guests did find the prices to be very reasonable. This single positive comment, among 7 total observations, offers a small bright spot for those looking for good deals. However, the majority of feedback points to a different story.

Many feel its expensive for what you get, with the price not matching the quality. Theres also concern that their prices have sky-rocketed recently, leading to too much hassle for the price. With customer satisfaction at a mere 14.3%, it's clear value is a significant area for improvement.

Terrible Service, Never Received Food
My experience at this NY Chinese restaurant was extremely disappointing due to terrible customer service. I spent nearly $50 and never received my food. After being told it was on the way, I waited at the hotel front desk for several minutes, but it never arrived. When I called the restaurant, the woman who answered was extremely rude. She dismissed my issue, stating it wasn't their problem and I should contact Grubhub. She even suggested I should have picked up the food myself instead of ordering through Grubhub. This level of disregard for customers is unacceptable, and I will not be ordering from this establishment again.

Worth the 30-Minute Drive!
I've been ordering from NY Chinese since I moved to Florida in 2020. I always order the same thing, and I've never had a problem with my food. Even though I've moved across town, I still make the nearly 30-minute drive because I'm scared to go anywhere else for Chinese 😭.

Authentic New York Feel and Delicious Food!
I stumbled across this restaurant and it reminded me of home. After living in Orlando for seven years, I absolutely love their food! I tried the beef with mixed vegetables and vegetable lo mein, along with the egg drop soup, and they are my absolute hands-down favorites. Every time I order, my food arrives hot and delicious. I'm impressed by how well they cook and keep the food fresh. The young cook who prepares my soup most times has impeccable skills – beyond impressed! The person at the front desk for both dine-in and take-out orders is just as sweet and talented. I absolutely love this place and will not go to another restaurant! It truly gives you the feeling of New York. I took photos of the egg drop soup to show how beautifully it's created, and of course, you can't forget the fried crispy noodles!

Small Portions, Missing Utensils
My experience was that the food was hot upon delivery, which was the only positive aspect. However, the portions were small. The spring roll was the smallest I have ever seen, only two bites. I also did not receive the utensils I asked for.
