Exceptional Tom Kha for Cold Relief
My experience was centered around the food, specifically the Tom Kha with tofu and veg. It was an exceptional soup, perfect for when you're feeling under the weather. The food quality was clearly a highlight, earning a high rating.

So Good, I Came Back Twice!
I came here on a whim because the wait down the road was ridiculous. It was so good, I'm back the next night to try something different. The food quality was exceptional, leading me to return for more.

Disappointing First Experience with Bland and Sweet Dishes
My first experience at this restaurant was not good. I visited around 3 pm on a Sunday, and unfortunately, the food was just 'meh'. One of the dishes was excessively sweet, even by American standards. The chicken in the green curry tasted and looked stale, and the papaya salad was also very sweet. I might consider returning to try other dishes at different times, but my initial impression was unfavorable.

Tasty Noodle Soup and Crispy Tofu
My experience at this restaurant in downtown SD was excellent. I loved the variety of options available. The noodle soup was particularly tasty and flavorful, which was one of their specials. For appetizers, we also ordered the crispy tofu. The atmosphere and service were both rated a perfect 5, and the food also received a 5-star rating. It was a moderate noise level during lunch.

Fabulous Thai with a Spicy Kick!
Big GRACIAS to Maya and the team on my first visit to Soi 30 on Tuesday, October 21st, around 6 PM. My experience was largely positive, with the Pad Thai shrimp and Somtum salad being absolutely fabulous. My only caution is that my 'medium' spicy order was closer to a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the spice scale. While still delicious, I will opt for mild next time. I also enjoyed a Singha beer, which Maya thoughtfully provided while I waited for my take-out order, demonstrating great intuition. CHEERS!

Authentic Thai Flavors with a Kick!
My experience at Soi 30th was fantastic! I had their Minced Chicken Holy Basil, which was absolutely delicious. The dish was elevated even further with a welcome kick of spice. I highly recommend Soi 30th for authentic Thai food in San Diego!

Good Pad See Ew with a Few Minor Issues
I stopped by for lunch on a Friday around 1: 00 PM, and the restaurant was surprisingly quiet with only a few other patrons. For parking, I'd suggest looking for street parking in the nearby neighborhoods; it's cheaper and only a short walk. I ordered the Pad See Ew with pork belly and found it to be very good, though not the absolute best I've ever had. The waitress offered spice levels of mild, medium, or hot, and I chose medium, which was quite spicy but enjoyable. The portion size was generous, and my leftovers were great reheated. While there was ample seating, the atmosphere felt a bit muggy and humid, even with the fans on. Our waitress was very kind, and overall, we enjoyed our time at Soi 30th!

Exceptional Thai Food Experience
If you want to experience Thai cuisine that will ruin all other Thai food for your taste buds, this is the place to go. I had the best Thai food I have ever eaten and will be chasing that high for a long time, as I don't live in San Diego. While the restaurant's appearance is a bit unassuming, don't let that fool you. The patio seating is great for people-watching and enjoying the cool breeze. Their menu is conveniently available online and in print. Our waitress was fast and friendly with a genuine smile. We started with the curry puffs, which were flaky puff pastry filled with mild yellow curry potatoes that complemented the pastry without overpowering it. For the entrée, my wife ordered the chicken pad Thai as 'mild, ' and it had the correct amount of heat. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the dish had a perfect balance, avoiding the greasiness that pad Thai can sometimes have. The star of the show was the Khao Soi, a dish that could only be described as a perfect dream manifested into reality. I chose shrimp as the protein, and it was the ideal choice. Every bite was a taste of creamy coconut and a unique curry that was simply perfection. I savored every moment and mourned when the meal ended, still thinking about it days later. I highly recommend you patronize these fine people and reward your taste buds.

Delicious food, tight space
My experience at the restaurant was wonderful, largely thanks to the excellent recommendations from our server. The Pla Fish platter and the curry soup 🍜 were incredibly delicious. 🤤 The only drawback was the tight space outside; I could hear my neighbors' entire conversation. Despite this, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic Thai Food and Friendly Service
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I was visiting San Diego and this place was recommended for good Thai food. The chicken curry puffs were amazing – definitely get these! Their Khao Soi and Red Curry dishes were also ridiculously tasty and creamy. I also enjoyed a delicious Thai tea. The server/hosts were super friendly. I have nothing but good things to say and definitely recommend a visit.
