My experience at the restaurant was mixed. While the atmosphere was great, with a rating of 5, and the service was also good, rated at 4, the food was disappointing. The chicken was seasoned in a way that made it taste like the packets of cheap instant chicken flavored ramen noodles. This aspect of the food received a rating of 3.

I love Mt Joy and their food, but their service and ordering system have been messed up for months. They got rid of their app and their rewards/game system. Today, I ordered pickup on UberEats, and they said they weren’t receiving any online orders. They also stated they couldn’t give me a refund and I had to request it through the UberEats app. I then had to reorder my food, wait for it to be ready, and pay for it again. The food is still great, but it seems like they don’t actually want you to be able to order it.

My experience at MT Joy was pretty standard for a chicken sandwich shop, but the customer service truly sets them apart. I know I can always count on JJ for a good meal and a good experience.

I was also incredibly impressed with the genuinely wonderful customer service. JJ, in particular, went above and beyond to make my first visit feel like a VIP moment. I was initially nervous about the spicy version being too intense for my palate, but JJ assured me it would be flavorful, not fatal, and she was absolutely right! It hit the perfect sweet spot.

The chicken in the tenders and burgers was organic, incredibly tender on the inside, and had a nice crispy crunch on the outside. It was really delicious, especially paired with their fries and no-sugar soda drinks. I would highly recommend this place!

This experience proved that you can't judge a book by its cover, as this isn't typically the kind of place I'd choose to eat at. My only minor complaint is the price; $14 for a chicken sandwich without fries felt a bit steep, but the quality certainly made up for it.
