Avoid for Large Groups Due to Billing Hassle
My experience at this restaurant was challenging, especially for a large group. While the food was decent, the major issue was their policy of not offering individual checks. This meant our group of 9+ people had to manually split the bill, which was incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, they still charged a 3% transaction fee and expected a 20% tip on top of that. Considering the hassle involved in settling the bill, it was not worth the hassle.

Disappointing Food Quality
My best friend and I occasionally visit this restaurant and have always enjoyed the food, environment, and warmth. However, this time, the experience was off. I'm not sure if the recipe changed or if there was new management, but the food was bland. The unsalted hash browns were not as robust as they used to be, and the Cubano was lackluster in flavor and depth. The service was a mix of warmth and briskness, depending on who attended to our table. I hope this was a one-time occurrence and that our next visit will bring back the enjoyable food we've experienced before.

Great B&G, Friendly Service!
My experience at this nice little cafe was wonderful. I absolutely loved our waitress, and the B&G were great! I'm already planning my next visit to try the pancakes.

Homey Spot with Delicious Breakfast
The "Carrot Cafe" (as my 3-year-old calls it) has become a regular weekend breakfast spot for my family. We were initially drawn in by the Cinnamon Roll French toast via DoorDash, but the homey atmosphere keeps us coming back for dine-in. Like any decent breakfast restaurant in Seattle, weekends can be crowded with long waits. However, Carrot Cafe offers good food and a mom & pop soul/personality in a town increasingly dominated by generic chains. My 3-year-old's only critique was the lack of carrots on the menu 😆.

Disappointing Experience, Cold Food
I am super sad to write this review because I usually have very good experiences here, but not today. It was a busy Saturday, as expected, but every single table received food and drink before we even got to put our order in. We also didn't get any refills on water and coffee. Our waiter was rude and blunt, making no effort to communicate that our food was late or to apologize for it. The only thing they didn’t struggle bringing to the table was the check for $80. When our food finally arrived, it was cold, and there were hash browns cooked into my pancakes. The rest of the table was left feeling unsatisfied with what was clearly food left off the grill for way too long. Hopefully, when we come back, we won’t experience this again. It was disappointing to say the very least : (Price per person: $20–30 Wait time: Up to 10 min Atmosphere: 1 Service: 1 Meal type: Breakfast Noise level: Loud, but you can still talk Food: 3

Absolutely Amazing Experience!
My experience at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. The signature carrot cake pancakes were fantastic, and my gluten-free partner had chickpea cakes that were also PHENOMINAL! I also had the best chicken fried steak I've had in the PNW, and the gravy is insane! If you're nearby, this is the spot to check out!

Disappointing Experience at 14 Carrot Cafe
I used to love coming to 14 Carrot Cafe with my spouse and even our dogs; it always felt like such a welcoming spot. That’s why I was so excited to take my in-laws while they were in town. But this time, the experience felt completely different. The service we received was disappointing and honestly left me feeling hurt. It seemed like we were being treated differently than others around us. It’s hard to put into words how uncomfortable that felt, especially when I wanted to share a place I once really enjoyed. What used to feel warm and inviting now feels tainted by this experience, and that makes me really sad.

Great Food, Watch the Bill
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, especially concerning the food quality, which I rated a perfect 5 out of 5. However, there was a significant issue with the billing process. When paying via the QR code, they automatically calculated tips based on the amount including tax, which is not ideal. Additionally, a credit card charge of over $3 was added. While the food was great and service was rated a 4, the billing practices were a definite drawback.

Amazing Food and Stellar Service!
Visiting from NJ, my experience at this restaurant was amazing. The jam was even better than the food! Our server, Madison, was an Allstar. Despite being extremely busy, she maintained her composure and provided excellent service. Go Madison!

Good food, long wait
My experience at this restaurant on a busy Sunday was a classic case of a busy day. The food was good, but it took forever to receive it, a wait of 50 minutes. It was a little disappointing to see people who arrived after us get served before us, and for the food to be cold. I'm not sure what the mix-up was there. I live super close, so I look forward to giving them another shot soon.
