Best Fish Tacos in San Diego!
Hands down, the best fish tacos in San Diego! I live in East CV and drive all the way over here when I want fish tacos. The Cucumber Lime Agua Fresca was also delicious!

Good Food, Decent Portions
My experience at the restaurant was good. While it was a little pricey, that's to be expected nowadays. I appreciated the nice sized portion of food.
The food was good, and the portions were generous.

Tacos Haven't Kept Up
I agree that 10 years ago these tacos used to be the bomb, but now they are just good tacos. The prices have gone up, and the taste hasn't kept up. I usually go on Taco Tuesday when the fish tacos are on sale for $1.

Solid Tacos and Outdoor Dining
My experience at this food truck was great! They serve some solid and tasty tacos, burritos, and ceviche. The portions were big, and the food was very tasty.
They offer a shaded tent and picnic tables, making it a perfect spot to grab a quick lunch or enjoy dining outdoors with your dog along El Cajon.

Overpriced Tacos with Attitude
My experience at this taco truck was disappointing. The fish tacos were overpriced and mostly flour with barely any fish, just as other reviews mentioned. Additionally, some of the workers had an attitude, acting as if they were working at the federal reserve rather than a taco truck.

Disappointing Decline in Quality and Service
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food taste is okay, but it isn't what it used to be a few years back. The servings are small and the prices high, unfortunately.
Additionally, the employees tend to be in a bad mood, especially at their Federal Ave. And 47th location. If they are busy, they end up messing up your order and then get mad if you complain.
If you order anything besides a fish taco, you're gonna end up paying $10 and up per taco. I can't recommend them, unfortunately.

Hair in food, salty tacos
I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was disappointing. I visited the location on 47th street, and unfortunately, I found a hair underneath my fish taco. This was incredibly gross, and it completely ruined my appetite.
I ended up throwing everything away. To make matters worse, their carne asada tacos were excessively salty. I would have shared a picture, but there wasn't an option to do so on Google.

Consistent Favorite, Minor Food Hiccup
We’ve been coming to Mariscos Alex for years. Even after moving out of town, we always stop by when we visit San Diego. On our most recent visit, the shrimp and fish tacos were a bit more chewy, suggesting they might have been overcooked.
Despite this, it remains a good spot.
