Amazing Food and Service!
This is an amazing place that is our go-to for nights we don't want to cook. The food is amazing, and the people are super nice. I'm always excited about getting treated to their noodles and thai tea!

Shocking Racism and Allergy Negligence
I visited One Waan and clearly communicated my gluten and soy allergies when ordering. Upon arriving home and plating my food, I discovered a large piece of fried tofu, which contains soy and is unsafe for gluten allergies due to potential cross-contamination. This ingredient was not listed on the menu for my order.
As someone with celiac disease, the fried tofu contaminated my entire plate. When I contacted One Waan about the mistake, their response was shockingly rude and argumentative. I believe this was a racist microaggression, as I am a Black woman who appeared young and was dressed casually after roller skating.
They initially denied tofu was in the order, then claimed it was gluten-free, and angrily stated that no gluten-free customers had complained, implying I was lying. I tried to explain my allergies, particularly to soy, and that tofu is soy. Instead of acknowledging their error, they argued and subjected me to racism.
They then claimed tofu is always in this type of food, which is untrue and dismissive. Despite my education and the $70 order, they acted as if I was uninformed. They eventually offered to remake the food, but then HUNG UP ON ME.
The neighborhood is known for not being friendly to Black people, and One Waan proved to be no exception. Their entire response was unprofessional and ridiculous. They made a mistake that could have made me very sick and acted as if I was trying to get free food.
While they did remake my food, I had to endure racism to get there. Even the remade food was filled with half bean sprouts. I am disgusted by their behavior.
They were polite when I picked up the remade food, but this did not erase the racism evident in their assumptions and phone interactions. It suggests they knew better but chose to treat me poorly. I wish I had requested a refund.

Top Choice for Thai Food!
My experience at this restaurant was excellent. The place was clean, the service was prompt, and above all, the food was delicious! Whether I'm getting takeaway or eating in, it's my top choice for Thai food in the city.

Beautiful Food, Disappointing Flavor and Service
I came here for dinner, drawn by the beautiful food photos and great reviews. The place itself looked nice. However, our server seemed annoyed from the moment we ordered, which was a bit off-putting, though it was hours before closing.
We asked about spice levels and requested spicy food. The dishes were visually appealing, presented with flowers, and the veggie spring rolls were good. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai was flavorless and not spicy at all.
Another server brought us some extra spice, but overall, the experience was very disappointing. I'd consider returning for a curry or another dish, but hopefully with a different server.

Accommodating and Delicious Gluten-Free Experience
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially considering we had family members with celiac disease. We inquired about gluten-free options, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, taking every precaution to avoid cross-contamination. This was very reassuring.
The food was great! We enjoyed the green curry fried rice (without soy sauce), pumpkin curry, and pad Thai (without fried tofu).

Happy Hour Disappointment, Food Good
I visited this restaurant aiming to take advantage of their happy hour, arriving at 5: 50 PM. Unfortunately, when we ordered at 5: 57 PM, we were told that happy hour prices were no longer applicable, despite the menu stating it lasts until 6 PM. This led to a bill of $60 for three drinks and two appetizers.
While the food was good and the service was otherwise attentive, the feeling of being 'nickeled and dimed' by the happy hour policy change caused us to change our minds about dining further. The wine pour was also a meager 3 ounces for $12. The food was rated a 5, but the service received a 2, and the atmosphere a 3.

Dirty Hands and Terrible Attitude
My experience at this restaurant was extremely unpleasant. I was concerned about the hygiene as the person handling the delivery food had dirty hands and nails and was not wearing gloves. The food packaging also seemed to be taken from a garbage bag.
Furthermore, the staff member's attitude was very poor.

Disappointing Dinner Experience
My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. I ordered the Garlic black pepper beef, which was advertised to have jalapenos, but I couldn't find any. It was bland and lacked any spice.
The Panang curry was also a letdown; the chicken was boiled and the soup-like consistency made it inedible. I used to think this was an okay place, but after this dinner, I will be returning to Regant Thai on Church. I feel like I wasted $50.

Favorite Thai Food Spot!
This is definitely my favorite Thai food experience. The Tom Kha and rangoons are my absolute favorites! While I usually opt for take out, the restaurant itself appears to be quite nice inside.
