Beautiful Decor, Busy Vibe
It had been years since I've been to Barcha, but I went back relatively recently for a work dinner. This was actually my first time here for dinner since I've only come for lunch before, and I had forgotten how beautiful the decor is inside, especially at night. Barcha definitely draws an after-work crowd (it is in FiDi, after all). It was already busy when we arrived and it just got busier from there. Good thing we had a reservation since we needed several tables put together. We shared several appetizers and desserts and everyone ordered their own drink/main. The dishes we ordered included the trio of spreads, Moroccan cigars, falafel, beets, blistered peppers, Persian tahdig (so good!), and the pistachio tiramisu. The prices feel in line with this area of SF. One downside: someone in our group was vegetarian and the main options for them felt pretty limited. Overall, it was a good experience — a nice dinner in a convenient location — though the crowd and energy definitely felt very "work-y. "

Delicious Shawarma, Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was primarily positive due to the food. I ordered the Turkish Spiced Lamb & Beef Shawarma with potatoes, and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. While the flavor was outstanding, the service was a bit slow this time around. Additionally, it's on the pricier side for a sandwich and side. However, the exceptional flavor truly made it worth the cost. On a prior visit, when we dined inside, the service was noticeably faster. The pictures included are from a September visit, showcasing the Chicken Shawarma and Grilled Steak Kabob.

Delicious Food, Great Service, Noisy Indoors
My experience at this restaurant was largely positive, with delicious food and perfect service. The outdoor terraces are a great feature, being heated and even providing blankets. However, the inside dining area was quite noisy, possibly due to acoustical issues. Adding some textile on the floor or walls might help improve the acoustics.

Great Mediterranean Food and Ambiance
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. The food was pleasantly tasteful, and the service was very good. I particularly enjoyed the interior, which features a wonderful indoor open kitchen where you can witness great cooking. It's a great place for some Mediterranean food downtown.

Disappointing Lunch Experience
My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The lunch menu was limited, and the food was not seasoned. The only item we enjoyed was the dumpling. The atmosphere was cramped, with patrons almost elbow to elbow. Additionally, the server was never around, making for a frustrating dining experience.

Awesome Mediterranean Food, Worth the Price
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed the awesome Mediterranean food, which was truly amazing. While it's a bit pricy, the quality of the food and drinks justifies the cost. The restaurant offers great outdoor/indoor seating areas, and it's a bonus that they allow dogs outside. The atmosphere and service were both top-notch.

Beautiful Atmosphere, Delicious Food, Outstanding Service
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding. While the food was expensive, this is to be expected downtown. The spiced beef dumplings were truly one of the best things I’ve ever had.

Good food, but loud and pricey
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The atmosphere was incredibly loud, making it difficult to even hear the person I was dining with. While the food was good, the portion sizes were very small and felt overpriced. I enjoyed the lamb cigars, but the lamb meatballs were dry and hard.
