Exceptional Pasta, Service, and Value!
My experience at this restaurant was truly healing! The pasta was exceptional, and the wine selection was great. The service was attentive without being intrusive, with staff working in a tag-team manner.
I was also impressed by the amazingly reasonable prices for such high quality food and the great location.

Amazing Chicken Cacciatore at Café Zoetrope
My experience at Café Zoetrope Italian Restaurant was fantastic! Located conveniently on the corner of Kearny and Whocares, it's easy to find and parking is a snap. Considering the abundance of Italian restaurants in San Francisco, I've tried many, and I can confidently say the Chicken Cacciatore here is most likely the best I've had in SF.
It was Amazing, and in every aspect worthy of 5 stars! ☆☆☆☆☆

Impressive Building, Nice Service
My experience at the restaurant was primarily focused on the atmosphere and service, as I only had cocktails. The building itself is more impressive from the outside, but it's also nice inside. The service was nice.

Charming Italian Corner in San Francisco
My experience at Café Zoetrope in San Francisco was like stepping into a little corner of Italy tucked right inside the city. The place has such a unique charm—the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with film posters, memorabilia, and that warm, cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. I ordered a glass of Coppola wine and a plate of pasta, and both were just perfect—simple, flavorful, and comforting.
What I loved most, though, was the vibe. It’s unpretentious, welcoming, and you feel like you’re part of a story unfolding in this historic building. It’s the kind of café where you can sit for hours, sipping coffee or wine, enjoying good food, and just soaking in the atmosphere.
Definitely one of those spots that makes San Francisco feel so special.

Perfect Takeout Experience!
My experience with this restaurant was excellent, especially for takeout. Everything was packed perfectly, and the portions were very generous. Even the bread with olive oil and balsamic was neatly packaged.
The food itself was super fresh, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were more than fair. I highly recommend this place!

Great Aperitivo with Unique Touches
My experience at this restaurant was for an aperitivo, and it was a very pleasant one. The staff were very nice, and the cocktail makers were great. I particularly enjoyed the unique machine that prints short stories, offering 1, 3, or 5-minute reading times, which was a perfect accompaniment to my drink.
I had the arancini di riso, which were really tasty. The Coppola artefacts dotted throughout the venue were a fantastic touch, making it a must-visit for any fan.

Beautiful Spot, Good Pasta
My experience at this restaurant was pleasant. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was great. We enjoyed our meal, and the pasta was good, though not exceptional.
Given we were in Little Italy, our expectations might have been a bit too high.

Quiet Early Supper Tradition
I had a quiet early supper with my sister; we made a tradition of it. The food was great, and the atmosphere was lovely, contributing to a pleasant experience. The service was also good, making it a well-rounded visit.

Nice Ambience, Terrible Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. While the ambience was enjoyable, the food was really bad. The olive oil lacked any olive color, and the cheese on the pizza felt hard and fake.
I suggest visiting for a drink to soak in the atmosphere, but I'd recommend eating elsewhere.
