Progeny Coffee - Reviews

My experience was fantastic, primarily due to the matcha banana latte. It was the best I've ever had, and importantly, it wasn't too sweet or artificial tasting, which has been an issue with similar drinks elsewhere.

My experience was overall adequately good, with nothing terrible. Our coffee drinks were okay, but the pastries were very good. The atmosphere is meh, situated in the lobby of an apartment building. The layout and design are not hostile but obviously not conducive to lingering. While the coffee place across the street is better overall, Progeny has a high 4. 9 rating, which I feel a 4. 4 would be more accurate for. This is San Francisco, so the bar is high.

I just visited this place for the first time and I absolutely love it so far! The customer service was great. The staff member even made me a blueberry latte with macadamia. I'm normally nervous with lattes and simple syrup as it usually tastes artificial and way too sweet, but this was the perfect blend. I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends.

My experience at this restaurant was wonderful. I went with a friend on a Saturday morning for coffee. The barista was incredibly nice and offered suggestions, even giving me my coffee on the house because it was my first visit. He was a truly generous and kind soul. The coffee itself was great, clearly made with high-quality coffee beans. I will definitely be returning with new friends to spend more time here.

My quest for a good Cafe Mocha ended here. It is a smooth blend of coffee and subtly sweet dark chocolate syrup, just how a Mocha should be! The owner was kind enough to let me taste the dark chocolate syrup before the order. The small but clean seating zone is perfect to finish a few book chapters or relax with your pet. No pictures as I gobbled up my drink :)

My experience was fantastic! I stayed in a nearby Airbnb and was lucky to discover this place. Their matcha is AWESOME. I also enjoyed their coffee and bakes. Overall, a 10/10 experience.

I was wowed by the quality of the drinks. I tried the espresso tonic with orange blossom syrup and my friend had a matcha. Both drinks had an amazing flavor, and I need to come back and try more of their drinks. The place is very nice to have a date or come with a friend. There are some seats inside and a few tables outside, so you can either stay or take a walk around the neighborhood. I recommend stopping by if you are waiting for your Caltrain!

My experience at this restaurant was truly wonderful. The staff were extraordinary and treated me like family, showing great care. I enjoyed the excellent coffee, Macarons, and pastry. The great location and ambience made for a perfect visit. Thank you!

My experience at this restaurant was incredibly positive. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, matching the bright personalities with their equally bright coffee. The coffee is truly top tier, and I appreciated their practice of asking customers to tip the farmers, as they pay their staff full wages. The pastries were excellent, and the seating area, both indoors and outdoors, was beautiful, well-lit, and clean. I especially enjoyed the excellent espresso. I really love this place!

My experience at this restaurant was exceptional. The coffee quality was outstanding, and the people were equally wonderful. They even went out of their way to assist me when I was locked out of my apartment. I highly recommend the mocha with extra chocolate!
