Top-notch Food, Service, and Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was truly exceptional. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top notch. It's not a cheap option, but the quality justifies the price. This is a place where you could celebrate a significant milestone, like a proposal or a 50th anniversary, and be completely satisfied.

Fantastic Omakase with Chef Alex
My experience at this restaurant was a fantastic Omakase expense with Chef Alex. The staff is fantastic and some of the dishes are truly unique. The Marinated Cod was one of the best I’ve ever had.

Trendy Spot with Room for Improvement
My experience at this restaurant has been one of improvement, though it's not consistently great. The nigiri is very trendy, and the fish is fine for the price, but the handling felt a bit meh. While I don't believe only Japanese people can make sushi, I feel the staff needs more training and to be more engaged. I didn't enjoy the shari here; it tasted weird. Interestingly, I had a similar criticism for Sushi Hon, but not for Hakko, which I believe this group also owns (when Alex was there, at least – I haven't visited since he left).

Excellent Food and In-House Brewed Beer
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The food was excellent, with great presentation. The chef is very professional, and the fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. I also enjoyed their in-house brewed beer, which tasted very good. The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service also received a 5. While a reservation is required and the price per person is $100+, the wait time was over an hour.

Great Service, Mediocre Food, Too Expensive
My experience at this restaurant was marked by great and attentive service. However, the food, to me, was just mediocre. Considering the level of food, it was way too expensive. We spent 550+ for two people, and I felt it was not worth it.

Exceptional Omakase Birthday Experience!
What an experience! This was my first time enjoying an omakase dinner and I am so lucky I experienced it here! The food was absolutely delicious and hit every palate. The staff was friendly and they even stayed after to celebrate my birthday with me! Highly recommend if you’re in the area, whether celebrating an occasion or needing a night out. The main entrance is located on Polk & Post.

Disappointing Sushi Experience
My experience at this restaurant was honestly pretty disappointing. It's not a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant run by Japanese chefs, and while I understand that many chefs come from similar training backgrounds, the overall experience just didn’t stand out. The fish didn’t feel especially fresh, and there wasn’t much creativity or anything memorable about the dishes. It felt very similar to many other places, probably because they all come from the same school or style. I wouldn’t recommend this spot for serious sushi lovers or anyone who’s really into omakase. But if you’re just casually looking for an omakase dinner on a random day, it’s okay. I personally wouldn’t return.

Rushed Omakase, Not Worth the Price
My experience at this restaurant was not ideal. The service felt very rushed, and we finished our entire meal within 40 minutes. The omakase selection was just ok, nothing stellar. Considering the price point, I probably wouldn’t come back again.

Delicious but Expensive Birthday Dinner
We celebrated my wife's birthday here, and while it's expensive, the food was delicious. Standout dishes included the Uni bowl and barracuda. The homebrewed rice lager was also a hit. The atmosphere and service were excellent, both rated 5/5.
