Good Chowder, Disappointing Croissant
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. It's a very busy place with plenty of seating, which is great for a tourist hotspot like San Francisco. The prices are fair for the area.
I found the food quality to be good overall. We tried the crab chowder, which is served in a sourdough bowl. The chowder was generously filled with real crab meat and had an excellent taste.
However, the Dubai Chocolate croissant was a letdown; it fell very short of expectations. I believe they should use real crushed pistachio instead of pistachio paste and opt for softer chocolate. I've had better Dubai chocolate croissants elsewhere.
The seating area was consistently cleaned and bussed by the staff, and the presence of a security guard was a nice addition to prevent homeless individuals from entering.

Tiny, Flavorless Food
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The pizza was like a tiny frozen pizza and was terrible. The soups were also lacking any flavor and were tiny as well.

Delicious Pizza and Calamari!
My experience at the restaurant was delicious. I had the mushroom sausage pizza and a margarita. For an appetizer, I also enjoyed some calamari.
I would for sure come again.

Classic San Francisco Bite at Boudin
If you're craving a taste of San Francisco’s soul, Boudin Bakery at Fisherman’s Wharf delivers in spades. I stopped in for a cozy meal and left completely satisfied. I started with the Oysters Rockefeller—rich, buttery, and baked to perfection with just the right hint of herbs.
The Caesar salad was crisp and refreshing, a perfect balance to the indulgence of the oysters. But the real star? The clam chowder.
Creamy, comforting, and brimming with tender clams, it came nestled in their signature sourdough bread bowl—warm, tangy, and freshly baked. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite just to savor the moment.

Hit or Miss Breakfast and Soup
During a recent visit to San Francisco, I dined at this restaurant a couple of times, and my experience was a bit of a hit and miss. While the breakfast was great, the clam soup was very average.

Delicious Bakery with a Fun Atmosphere
My experience at Boudin Bakery was fantastic! This bakery is best known for its sourdough breads, which are indeed very good. Beyond the sourdough, they offer a wide array of bakery treats, including brownies that I've never tasted better, lemon bars, peanut butter/chocolate bars, almond croissants, chocolate croissants, and regular croissants.
They also make some of their sourdough bread in incredible and fun animal shapes. In addition to baked goods, they sell other hot and cold foods, as well as souvenirs. The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service also received a 5, with food scoring a perfect 5.
The parking is paid, but you can get validation with a purchase for free parking for a period. It's very wheelchair accessible and has plenty of parking space. The noise level is loud, but you can still hold a conversation.

Clam Chowder Dreams and Fresh Oysters
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The clam chowder and the sourdough bread bowl it came in were absolutely divine; I wished I could have licked the bowl clean. The crab cakes were incredibly fresh, and the oysters were also fresh and clean.
The staff was great, and I loved the unique experience of watching them make bread downstairs. Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

Expensive San Francisco, Great Bread
Like everything in San Francisco, it's outrageously expensive! A glass of Pinot Noir was $13. My daughter had a Caesar salad that cost around $15, and it didn't even have chicken!
Just lettuce, croutons, and dressing. I tasted the specialty in the bread, and it was good, but there wasn't much substance to it. Nothing justifies these prices!
What I will remember, as the son of a baker, is that the bread is the best I've eaten in the USA.

Boudin Bakery: Sourdough Perfection!
My experience at Boudin Bakery in San Francisco was fantastic! They truly serve the best sourdough in the Bay Area, consistently fresh, warm, and bursting with flavor. Beyond the bread, the sandwiches and pizza were delicious.
The prices were reasonable, and the service was fast. I also appreciated that the restaurant was clean and had a fun, welcoming vibe. I will definitely be eating here again!
