Amazing Italian Food - Nonna Approved!
I was out with friends, Biscuit Head and Applejack, at the Saloon and decided I needed to get some food before I drank too much beer. I left them at the bar and walked about 50 feet to The Italian Homemade Company, which I consider the best family restaurant in the city. They serve food that is just like Nonna made, only without the lipstick and baby powder smell!
It was absolutely amazing! ☆☆☆☆☆

Authentic Carbonara and Kind Staff
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! Having lived in Rome, I can confidently say their carbonara was great. This is the only place you need to go to if you want some pasta.
It's super authentic, and the staff was super kind and genuine!

Friendly Staff, Average Food, Great Atmosphere
My experience at this restaurant was marked by really friendly staff and a pretty relaxed, somewhat retro/European and welcoming atmosphere, which I definitely loved! We walked in for dinner because other places had long waits. While the food was just alright, nothing special, and maybe what we ordered was average, the staff and atmosphere were awesome.
We tried their lasagna, a salad, and vegetarian cazzone, all of which were just okay. I'm willing to give it another shot, hoping for a better food experience next time. Thank you folks, see you next time!

Delicious Pasta and Excellent Service!
I tried the fettuccine with parmigiano sauce and it was delicious! I went first thing in the morning, and they had no problem with me. They served me very well and quickly.
The dish is substantial, a good portion to brighten your day. If you are in San Francisco and craving good pasta: don't hesitate, this is your place! Buonissimo 🤤 Grazie!

Authentic Italian Gem!
My experience at this restaurant was authentic and amazing! I was visiting from out of town and craving some real Italian food, and this was the place. The quality of the food was so good that I had to go back the next day to grab some to cook at home.
They conveniently sell their sauce and noodles separately for home preparation. On top of the fantastic food, the staff were super kind!

Authentic Italian Homemade Gem
This place is the essence of an Italian cantina. The food is old-fashioned, handmade, just like 'nona' used to make. The pasta is light, al dente, with a traditional and perfect flavor.
The bolognese and pesto sauces were delicious, served at the exact temperature and consistency. The atmosphere blends the traditional with the modern, especially with the sidewalk seating. The service is prompt, kind, and pleasant.
To sum it up, The Italian Homemade Company has become my favorite Italian cantina in San Francisco.

Authentic Italian with Generous Portions
Looking for the real deal in Italian food, made from scratch? This is the place! I had an amazing experience with bountiful portions at a reasonable price, especially for San Francisco.
We even got to watch the pasta being made right at the prep station in the front, which was a stroke of luck as it's not always running. There were some vegetarian options available.
