When it comes to value, there's a small silver lining! Out of 6 customer opinions, one diner praised the pricing for food and drinks as incredibly reasonable, especially for San Francisco. However, this positive note stands out against a low customer satisfaction of just 16.7%, indicating that such experiences are unfortunately rare.

My experience at Sohn was fantastic! This cafe fills a missing piece of the SF cafe scene. The space is beautifully designed and full of intention. Spacious Gem with Delicious Cold Noodles!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The space is very spacious, which is a huge plus. I absolutely loved the delicious food, and my favorite has to be the cold noodles – they hit the spot every time. This is exactly the kind of place San Francisco needed for a long time, and I'm so glad it finally opened!

Worth the Wait for Amazing Food!
Came by on a Sunday morning and there was a line out the door, but it was totally worth it. They were super thoughtful and handed out snacks to everyone waiting, which was such a nice touch. There’s a separate line for dine-in and takeout, and the owner was at the door keeping things moving smoothly. We got a banana oat milk latte, one with hojicha and the other with espresso – both amazing. For food, we tried the gochujang cookie and split the Galbi patty melt… and immediately regretted not getting two. So good. Everything about Sohn feels intentional. The service, the drinks, the food were all top notch. Definitely worth the wait!

Mixed Feelings at New Matcha Cafe
I visited a new matcha cafe in the area and wanted to try it out. The line was quite long on the weekends, but they had two floors. The matcha with cream top was good. The patty melt was also good, though it felt a bit small and plain for its price ($16 for a small croissant-wich with beef patty and kimchi coleslaw). The kimchi fried rice was good too, but it wasn’t anything too special and didn’t have any meat in it 🥲. I would come here for the ambiance, but not if you're looking for a traditional cafe space for coworking. Honestly, it feels more like a mix between a restaurant and a cafe!

Good Food, Service Needs Work
My experience getting takeout from this cafe was a mixed bag. The food and drinks were good, though not exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the Breakfast Sandwich for its great combination of flavors and textures. The Sausage Pepper Croissant was decent, but would have been better warmed up. The espresso drinks were standard and met expectations. The Gochujang Caramel cookie was well-made, but could have benefited from more Gochujang Caramel. However, the service and operations definitely need improvement. It was frustrating to see people waiting in line for a table forced to stay outside in the rain, despite ample space inside. This lack of consideration for customers was a significant drawback. Additionally, there was no option to warm up pastries for takeout orders via the kiosk. We also discovered they didn't have decaf after placing our order, which was confusing given it was listed as an option. The wait for hot drinks was also slow, with iced drinks arriving before hot ones for some customers. The inside of the cafe itself is very pleasant and well designed, offering a nice atmosphere.
