I booked a group dinner at Zingari through OpenTable and later discovered $300 in hidden fees and a $500 minimum spend that were never disclosed. I canceled immediately, even though it was days in advance. No food or service was provided, and all cancellation requests were documented in writing. Be cautious—verify all fees and terms before booking. This feels more like a scam than a restaurant experience.

My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. We had a booking but were made to wait for more than 1 hour. When the food finally arrived, the portions were very small, to the point where we had to eat elsewhere afterward. To add to the frustration, we were overcharged with some superficial line items. I definitely would not recommend coming here.

I chose to visit here yesterday after arriving for the Dreamforce conference. I ordered the Rigatoni con Salsiccia, and it was perfect. As someone who is very picky about pasta, I can attest that they hit the fine line of sauce-to-pasta ratio. I also enjoyed the Old Fashioned with walnut bitters, which was also very tasty.

However, the restaurant waited until late at night, exactly 7 days before the reservation, to send undisclosed minimums and fee-heavy menu options. This occurred after I had already requested cancellation multiple times. To make matters worse, they processed a charge even after I confirmed I would not be attending. This restaurant seems to operate on hidden fees, last-minute fine print, and a refusal to honor clear cancellation requests. It felt intentionally deceptive, presenting normal reservations as flexible only to turn them into expensive ‘contracts. ’ I strongly advise avoiding this place if you value transparency or professionalism. There are many honest, quality Italian restaurants in San Francisco that treat guests with respect.

My experience at the restaurant was dominated by the piano bar, which was too loud and ended early. The food was okay, but super expensive. The dessert tasted industrial.

My experience at this restaurant was excellent. It boasts a great upscale atmosphere and has become my go-to place in San Francisco. I highly recommend ordering anything on the menu; you'll love it! They also offer great vegetarian options.

My experience at this restaurant was largely negative. The staff seemed unprepared, and the food was a far cry from authentic Italian cuisine. The space was poorly maintained, with dirty windows, and my hands even got sticky on the table. The Steak (fillet mignon) was dry, the wrong thickness, and cooked as if it were in Mexico. The Salmon, which was removed from the bill, was firm but lacked any taste. There was a general lack of balance in the plates, and the Truffle French fries were served without any truffles. Overall, a very disappointing dining experience.

Our server Tyler, who was also the mixologist, was amazing; knowledgeable, informative, and very proactive and attentive. The Cadillac Espressotini and Lemoncello Drops were DELICIOUS! The piano player was also amazing! The food tasted delicious as well. BUT. My group of 4 ordered all together and waited about 30 minutes. When we all received our food, my husband's order was wrong. They were out of what he wanted, and he had to reorder something else, which took another 30 minutes. Everyone else was done eating before his food arrived. For the prices of the food, AND having to pay $15 a person for live piano, sadly, I feel like it wasn't quite worth the price for everything. The lack of communication and efficiency from the kitchen greatly drops my rating for this place. I'm not likely to come here again, except for the drinks from Tyler only. Our bill was almost $400 after everything, and that was after getting a round of free drinks and a 10% discount for their mess-up. NOT WORTH IT.

My experience at the restaurant was amazing! The food and drinks were incredible, and the service was absolutely perfect. I enjoyed it so much that I returned the very next day! I highly recommend this place.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, especially at the bar. We loved our drinks and all the food we had at the bar. Our barman, Tyler, provided excellent service and mixed perfectly. We will definitely be back!
