A Masterpiece of Pizza Art
My experience at Zante was truly exceptional. The pizza was described as one of its kind and category-leading, significantly enhancing my life. I consider this pie a work of art, deserving of a special placement in the pizza museum for centuries to come.
The overall experience was outstanding, with perfect scores for service, atmosphere, and food.

Cold Food, Awful Service
My experience involved ordering a pizza and vegetable pakora, which took an exceptionally long time to arrive – 1 hour and 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the food was cold upon delivery. When I contacted the store to inquire about the delay, as it was already 1 hour and 15 minutes late, I encountered awful customer service.
The staff displayed a major attitude when I expressed concern about the food arriving cold. While the food itself was fine, its quality was significantly impacted by the fact that it arrived cold.

Authentic Indian Pizza Since the 80s
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! It's an OG spot for getting amazing India Pizza. These guys have been making this since the 80s, and they truly know how to make it.
The staff is kind and has always taken great care of us and our friends. The food was a perfect 5/5, and the service was equally impressive at 5/5. They offer a large vegetarian selection and are highly recommended for vegetarians.
The atmosphere was rated a 3/5, and while parking can be somewhat difficult to find, the overall experience was excellent. They also offer wheelchair accessibility with ramps for the upper area.

Zante: Once Great, Now Fallen
I remember eating here many years ago and found it interesting and refreshing. Today, with the plethora of Indian pizza joints in the Bay, Zante has sadly fallen. The poorly lit interior with barebones decor and faded posters must invoke a cozy atmosphere, but in reality comes off a bit depressing once the food comes out.
The paneer pakoras were barely salted or spiced. The spinach soup had giant pieces of ginger floating in it. The onion bhaji, while crunchy, did not elevate or transport to a good experience.
It's really hard to mess up pakoras for a joint that's been around for decades, but that's the sad reality. The pizza somewhat compensated for the experience. It was as delicious as I remembered it to be with the tikka masala sauce leading the charge.
But, overall the place has lost its zing.

Mind-Blowing Indian Pizza Experience
My experience at Zante's was nothing short of divine. I was introduced to their unique Indian pizza, a concept I'd never encountered before. The chicken tikka masala pizza was an absolute revelation, so good I felt like I saw God.
The base is a crispy, golden crust with an authentic, creamy, spiced curry sauce. Topped with tandoori chicken and herbs, it's a combination that shouldn't work but does, like magic. As an Italian, I know good pizza, and Zante's is simply the best.
The restaurant itself is a gem in the Mission District of San Francisco, a place you'll want to celebrate birthdays around. I discovered it through my brother, and now I make sure to visit often. My ritual involves getting a full serving of chicken tikka masala curry and dipping the pizza into it – a "full feral mode" experience that's pure bliss, especially with a cold Taj Mahal lager.
I've celebrated two birthdays here in a row, and I can attest that Zante's isn't just fusion; it's a guaranteed enlightenment, like another day at the temple.

Amazing Pizza Deal in the Mission
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially considering the value. There is no better deal for pizza in the Mission. The pizza is great, and their large size is actually a large pizza.
I was particularly impressed with the Indian pizzas, which were all pretty amazing. They are one of the few places that still deliver their own pizza, so you don't pay an exorbitant fee. I also appreciated the friendly service; you can hand your tip directly to the delivery person at the door, and they've always been really friendly.

Unique Indian Pizza Experience!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I tried their Indian flavors served on fresh baked bread, which was essentially Indian food in a pizza format. It was a truly unique and delicious combination.
Furthermore, the restaurant offered a great value with very reasonable prices.

Hidden Gem: Phenomenal Indian Pizza!
This place is a HIDDEN GEM! I was initially skeptical about an Indian Pizza place, but all my doubts were completely wiped away. The pizza and especially the crust were phenomenal.
I almost never eat pizza crust, but I did here and it was amazing. The option to dip the pizza in mint and tamarind chutney, which sounds unusual, was life-changing. We tried the Indian veggie pizza (modified due to an allergy), and I was blown away by the taste.
It's surprising that a place with food quality this high, which has been around for over 15 years, doesn't have a line out the door. While the owners could enhance their online presence and marketing, the quality of the food is undeniable. I'll definitely be returning often.
