My experience at this restaurant was okay. The portion size was fine, but the food was pretty bland overall. I asked for white sauce to mix things up, and that was nice. I was hoping for more crisp and flavor variation.

My experience at Z Zoul Cafe was delicious and decently priced. I came in looking for a taste of Sudanese food. While there could be a bit more variety for traditional dishes, I was satisfied with both of my visits so far. The price and value were excellent, with tasty plates and wraps. My recent visit was for a beef kebab plate, but I ended up getting a Kofta plate instead. Everything plated was delicious and satisfying.

My experience at the restaurant was like finding an oasis amidst human misery. The music was good, the service was good, and the portions were very well served. It's a place that truly stands out.

This is a small restaurant that's good for a quick lunch in SF. The Lamb shank plate seems like their signature dish and is a pretty good value at around $20. The soup that comes with it is a bit on the salty side, but it can be mixed with the rice. The rice portion is quite large; I could only finish half of it.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed delicious Sudanese and Mediterranean food. The ambiance was so homey, and the food portions were huge. I especially loved the eggplant, peanut butter and tomato dip – OMG, so good! For those undecided, the Imperial Bowl is a must-try, showcasing all three proteins. They also serve delicious baklava that is chock-filled with pistachios. Aref and his wife truly bring a lot of love to their cooking, serving family recipes from generations ago. The restaurant's name means "friend" in Sudanese, and you'll definitely feel welcomed here!

This was my first time here, and the food was excellent! The owner was very nice and cheerful. I would definitely come back 🤙.

My experience at this restaurant was fabulous. Our favorite was the incredible falafel wrap, which we enjoyed with a side of garlic sauce. Although not on the menu, the garlic sauce was readily available and we added it bite by bite with a spoon. I can confidently say it was the best falafel sandwich I’ve ever had. I also want to give a special shout out to the owner’s T-shirt, which read “Good things happen to those that Hustle. ” It makes you even prouder to support his business. : -)

This was my husband and I's first time trying Sudanese food, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We loved everything we got. The co-owner, who took our orders, was incredibly courteous. Thank you for the good food and wonderful service!

My experience at this restaurant was truly amazing. The food was "wow" and sent us back to our homeland taste. The hospitality of the staff was beyond spectacular, and the atmosphere was nostalgic indeed. We recommend the place for a perfect experience. Best zouls and zoulas evaaa!
