Delicious Char Sui Bao and Perfect Gin Doi!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, especially the food! The char sui bao were incredibly delicious. I also loved the gin doi; they had a perfect, delicious crunch with just the right amount of sesame. The don tats were lovely and not too sweet. I highly recommend eating here!

Delicious Dim Sum and Great Value
My experience at this restaurant was very positive, especially regarding the food. I discovered the best har gow (shrimp dumpling) I've had so far in Chinatown. The shrimp rice rolls were satisfying and flavorful at a great price of $3. 50 for three. I was also impressed by the preserved egg porridge, which was a huge portion for only $3. 50. The restaurant has a small seating area with six tables in the back.

Unique Char Siu Bao Experience
Every time I stop by this place, I pick up 1 or 2 of their baked char siu bao. I usually finish them before I can walk 2 or 3 blocks away, but hey, they're meant to be enjoyed. It's not a typical char siu bao because this one has a sweet soft white crust on top that's almost reminiscent of a pineapple bun's top. It costs $2 each and it's worth a try if you want to experience a variant on the char siu bao. The ladies working there are friendly and efficient. It's a small shop, so it's best as a grab and go place.

Best Veggie Rolls, Pork Dumpling Missed Mark
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The veggie rolls were absolutely incredible, hands down the best I’ve ever had in my entire life! However, the pork dumpling was a letdown and definitely not it. The food overall received a 4/5, service a 5/5, and atmosphere a 4/5, with a price per person of $1–10.

Quick Dim Sum Despite Long Lines
My experience at this restaurant was for a quick and decent dim sum to go. Although the line was long, the service was quick. I particularly enjoyed the Shu Mei, which was really good. The steamed buns and youtio were also very good.

Authentic Chinese Deli in Chinatown
My experience at this Chinese deli in the heart of Chinatown, San Francisco, was fantastic! It's a great spot for both dim sum and baked goods. The prices were fair, and the service was great. All the food was authentic and delicious!

Disappointing Taro Dim Sum Experience
I visited in December 2024 specifically looking for flaky fried taro dim sum. When I inquired, I was told they had the dish, but it was in the wrong form: steamed skin instead of fried with flaky edges. The steamed taro dumpling with ground meat was just okay, not amazing. While the filling was correct, it wasn't the fried version I was hoping for. Since I had just purchased dim sum from two other places, I didn't try anything else. Perhaps next time. Payment was by cash.

Mixed Feelings on Breakfast Fare
I was a little surprised by all the high reviews, but perhaps it was just what I ordered. I was looking for a small breakfast and opted for the shrimp chive dumplings and a chicken bun. The prices were reasonable, around $1. 50+ per dumpling. Unfortunately, the chicken bun was cold, and the bread-to-meat ratio was high, with the meat itself being bland. I encountered a huge chunk of cartilage that I had to spit out. I personally prefer the shrimp chive dumplings at Wong Lee bakery; here, the shrimp wasn't whole, the chive flavor was weak, and the dough was quite thick. I would consider returning, but only for a hot rice meal. The eggplant looked incredible, and I regret not ordering it. For buns and dumplings specifically, I believe there are better bakeries.

Cold food, but good vegetarian options
My experience at this restaurant was mixed. Most of the food I received was cold when it should have been hot. However, the prices were super cheap, so I suppose you get what you pay for 🤷🏻‍♂️. On a positive note, they noticed my vegetarian selections and recommended some more vegetarian items.
