Disappointing Decline in Quality
I used to love this food truck, but it feels like a pale imitation of itself now. The bread on the po'boys is soft and falls apart quickly, lacking the crisp outer crust expected from a New Orleans style. The shrimp and grits seasoning is also problematic, tasting burnt/overcooked and bitter.
Unfortunately, my experiences over the past few months have been consistently disappointing, covering the shrimp po'boy, shrimp and grits, and catfish po'boy. The red beans were the only redeeming dish, which were good.

Authentic Southern Food Truck!
I was really in need of some southern comfort food and OMG, I'm so happy to have found this truck! I usually read reviews first because Southern food in the PNW is typically not authentic and can be quite disappointing. However, I saw no complaints about the food here!
While there were a few mentions of negatives regarding friendliness, I feel that's just some elitist nonsense. It's a food truck 🚚, and the food was genuinely SOUTHERN! Great job 👏

Consistently Great Food and Value
My experience was consistently good. The adjustments were consistent, and the overall experience and cost pretty much blows away other food trucks in town. I haven't gone wrong with any menu options to date and would always recommend popping in no matter where you see the truck.

Disappointing Gumbo for the Price
My experience at this restaurant was a let down, especially considering the cost. I paid $13. 33 with tax and tip for a small gumbo that was mostly rice with barely any meat or okra, as others have noted.
The workers weren’t really friendly, offering a basic “what do you want” greeting. It was a disappointment for the price.

Amazing Food Truck Finds!
My experience has been fantastic every time I've seen this food truck at a nearby brewery. Everything I've ordered has been amazing. The muffuletta is great, and it's really nice to have the gumbo and jambalaya as options, especially in the colder months.
They also have good options for sides. The beignets are incredible – even better than most I tried in NOLA. Given the abundance of food trucks around, I'm truly grateful that this is one of them.

Disappointing Southern Food Truck Experience
I was really looking forward to trying this food truck after hearing amazing reviews about its delicious food, especially since great Southern food is hard to come by in the PNW. I also heard the service was great. My boyfriend and I visited them at No Boat Brewing with our dogs for dinner.
Upon arrival, the male worker seemed disengaged and apathetic, making the ordering process uncomfortable. He was uncommunicative about when our food would be ready. When I picked up our order, my polite inquiry about its readiness was met with silence and a dismissive turn before he handed over the food without any pleasantries like 'enjoy your meal' or 'thank you for ordering, ' not even a hint of a smile.
We ordered a small shrimp and grits, an oyster po boy, and a large jambalaya. The oyster po boy was the standout, delicious and one of the best we've had, though it was our first time trying one. The shrimp and grits were unremarkable, and the jambalaya was just 'meh.
' It's unfortunate, as I had high expectations for this food truck, but it turned out to be the most disappointing Washington food truck I've visited.

Disappointing Visit for Jambalaya
I checked his schedule to get some jambalaya. It was supposed to be at Latona pub in Greenlake. It took me about an hour drive (round trip), but he wasn't there and I heard that he is in Greece now.

Amazing Sandwich and Beignets!
I tried this food truck on a whim and didn't have any expectations, but it has now become one of my go-to spots. The sandwich and beignets were the best I have ever had! The flavor was incredible, and I'm desperate to get the recipe for their house-made mayo.
I highly recommend this place!

Excellent Food, Wonderful Shrimp Po Boy
I finally had the chance to try this restaurant, and the food was excellent. I will definitely eat there again. The shrimp po boy was particularly wonderful.
The service and atmosphere were both rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

A taste of Nola in Seattle!
My experience at this restaurant was a welcome relief. The shrimp po boy was the closest I’ve had to the real thing since leaving Nola. Given how bad food in Seattle generally is, I truly hope these guys stick around so I can keep coming back.
It was such a relief to actually enjoy eating something after paying $$$ – a rare experience these days.
