Service here seems to be a roll of the dice; you might get an amazing, friendly experience, or you could encounter some less-than-stellar interactions. If youre willing to take that chance, the food might make it worthwhile, but dont go in expecting consistently stellar service.

Value (3.3 out of 10)

mentioned by 15% of the guests

When it comes to value, it seems theres a strong sentiment that the overall experience and cost can be quite a letdown for some. While one person felt the experience and cost were blown away in a good way, the general consensus, reflected in a low customer satisfaction of just 12.5%, suggests theres significant room for improvement here. However, the majority of the 8 comments, with 7 negative remarks, highlight serious concerns.

Many feel like their money is being stolen, especially with an automatic 20% tip being added without consultation. The high cost of items, like a $16 sandwich, combined with this mandatory tip, makes many customers feel like they're paying too much, leading to a poor score of 3.3 for value.

Disappointing Decline in Quality
I used to love this food truck, but it feels like a pale imitation of itself now. The bread on the po'boys is soft and falls apart quickly, lacking the crisp outer crust expected from a New Orleans style. The shrimp and grits seasoning is also problematic, tasting burnt/overcooked and bitter. Unfortunately, my experiences over the past few months have been consistently disappointing, covering the shrimp po'boy, shrimp and grits, and catfish po'boy. The red beans were the only redeeming dish, which were good.

Authentic Southern Food Truck!
I was really in need of some southern comfort food and OMG, I'm so happy to have found this truck! I usually read reviews first because Southern food in the PNW is typically not authentic and can be quite disappointing. However, I saw no complaints about the food here! While there were a few mentions of negatives regarding friendliness, I feel that's just some elitist nonsense. It's a food truck 🚚, and the food was genuinely SOUTHERN! Great job 👏

Consistently Great Food and Value
My experience was consistently good. The adjustments were consistent, and the overall experience and cost pretty much blows away other food trucks in town. I haven't gone wrong with any menu options to date and would always recommend popping in no matter where you see the truck.

Disappointing Gumbo for the Price
My experience at this restaurant was a let down, especially considering the cost. I paid $13. 33 with tax and tip for a small gumbo that was mostly rice with barely any meat or okra, as others have noted. The workers weren’t really friendly, offering a basic “what do you want” greeting. It was a disappointment for the price.

Amazing Food Truck Finds!
My experience has been fantastic every time I've seen this food truck at a nearby brewery. Everything I've ordered has been amazing. The muffuletta is great, and it's really nice to have the gumbo and jambalaya as options, especially in the colder months. They also have good options for sides. The beignets are incredible – even better than most I tried in NOLA. Given the abundance of food trucks around, I'm truly grateful that this is one of them.
