Anniversary Dinner with a View
My first visit to this restaurant was for an anniversary celebration, and it was a truly memorable experience. The food was delicious, the restaurant itself was beautiful, and the view was stunning. The service was great; the waiter was always attentive and asking if we needed anything. I booked our table two weeks in advance, and upon arrival, we were greeted with a small, cute card signed by the staff, which was a fantastic touch. The restaurant clearly pays great attention to details, arranging our table to offer the most beautiful view. It provided a hundred million views and unforgettable impressions. Thank you so much! 🥰❤️

Excellent Food & Service, But Loud
I had a pretty good time at this restaurant. The food and service were excellent, and I felt very comfortable. However, it was quite loud, which kind of ruined the vibe. This wasn't the restaurant's fault, but it's something to be aware of.

Beautiful View, Disappointing Food & Service
My experience was honestly disappointing. While the restaurant boasts a gorgeous Bay Bridge view, my crab cakes were cold and the service took forever. It felt like they rely on the scenery more than the food.

Great Service, Fantastic Atmosphere, Tasty Food
My experience at this restaurant was very enjoyable. The service was GREAT, and the atmosphere was fantastic, truly a San Francisco experience! The food was tasty, but for some reason, the soup was COLD. I must admit, after bringing it to their attention, they cheerfully adjusted the bill. I will return to re-up the oysters and try some other seafood!

Great Food and View for Celebrations
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! I enjoyed the good food and the great view. It's a nice place for a dinner with friends or a celebration. The atmosphere and service were both rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

Impressive Solo Lunch Experience
I solo-tripped here for lunch and was impressed every step of the way. The Chefs choice oysters were affordable and delicious. My Flat Iron Steak was cooked perfectly to order, and the veggies and aioli were amazing as well. The Old Fashioned was not too sweet, perfectly balanced. I had zero complaints about the entire experience. Great food, great service, and the prices were right where they should be. Exactly what I hoped this experience would be.

Oysters Shine, But Food & Service Fall Short
My family and I visited the Waterbar for the first time during happy hour on October 23, 2025, drawn by the buzz about their oyster special. To be fair, the oysters were indeed amazing – super fresh, briny, and perfectly chilled. You could really taste the quality, and they were definitely the highlight of our visit. I’d honestly come back just for those. Unfortunately, everything else we ordered was kind of a letdown. We tried a soup, but it was bitter and just didn’t taste right – not something I’d recommend at all. The fish and chips sounded promising but were greasy and bland, lacking seasoning and having a heavy batter. The milky bread was another miss – dry, dense, and didn’t really pair well with anything. The service was also pretty inconsistent. Upon arrival, we were seated at the wrong table, and our first server seemed annoyed, giving off “I don’t want to be here” vibes, as if he was unhappy to reset a table for our larger group. However, once we moved to the correct happy hour section, the vibe completely changed. The staff there were much friendlier and more attentive, which helped make up for the rocky start. Overall, Waterbar is worth it if you’re here for oysters during happy hour, but that’s about it. The oysters are fantastic, but the rest of the food and service didn’t live up to the same standard.

Fabulous Views & Excellent Seafood
Despite the lots of noise, we had a fabulous experience with great views of the Bay Bridge and the Bay from our table. The seafood was excellent, pleasing all five of us. The hearty corn chowder could even be a main course for a light eater. We also enjoyed very good cocktails and found the staff to be very attentive and professional. The desserts were a delicious surprise, offering unique options with generous portions and excellent taste.

Great Atmosphere, Terrible Food
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The atmosphere was fantastic, earning a perfect 5/5, and the service was equally impressive, also rated 5/5. However, the food was a major letdown, scoring only a 2/5. We ordered, and our meals arrived in less than 10 minutes, suggesting they were pre-cooked. For a bill of $400, we received a less than mediocre meal. I would definitely not return for the food!

Excellent Birthday Celebration at Waterbar!
I celebrated my birthday at Waterbar, and the experience was nothing short of excellent. The food, ambience, and service were all outstanding. They truly made the celebration special. I highly recommend their flat iron steak and milk bread, both were absolutely delicious!
