Solid Korean Restaurant Experience
My experience at this restaurant was very positive. They offer a large outdoor patio in the back, which is a great feature. The food arrived quickly and was really good.
I particularly enjoyed the soft shell crab, though it was decently spicy. Overall, this is a really solid Korean restaurant that I could definitely see myself returning to.

Authentic Korean Food for Casual Gatherings
My experience at this restaurant was great! I enjoyed the authentic Korean food, which was also at a reasonable price. It's a good place for casual gatherings with friends.
The atmosphere and service were rated a 4, and the food was also rated a 4. Parking was somewhat difficult to find.

Good Food, Very Slow Service
My experience at this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was good, earning a 4/5 rating. However, the service was incredibly slow.
It took an hour from finishing our entrees to ordering desserts, which was a significant drawback.

Great Food and Atmosphere, Will Return!
My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The price was not bad at all for the atmosphere and quality of food. I really enjoyed the patio, which was super cute and cozy.
My sister loved the sesame soy chicken wings, and I found the soft tofu stew to be tasty. We are definitely coming back to try their Korean BBQ!

Disappointing Food and Service
My experience at this restaurant was largely disappointing. The food was just okay, especially considering the price point. I felt I could have gotten a lot more and better elsewhere.
The banchan options were limited to kimchi, broccoli, and pickles, which felt unauthentic and lacked variety. The service was very bad; it was unclear who our server was, and nobody checked on us. We had to ask for bowls for the shared soup.

Mixed Feelings: Delicious Wings, Disappointing Bibimbap
I was looking forward to an amazing Bibimbap, but unfortunately was let down. The server didn’t explain anything on the menu, and it turned out to be a Vegetarian Bibimbap that wasn't on the vegetarian menu, leading me to assume it had meat. This was a significant letdown.
However, the Honey Butter Chicken Wings, Kimchi Prawn, and Beef Short Ribs were absolutely delicious! I communicated my feedback to the server, and she understood my perspective. On a less positive note, there were many flies inside the restaurant, and a screaming child having a temper tantrum (though not the restaurant's fault) did detract from what could have been a nice evening dinner.

Disappointing Korean Experience
My experience at this Korean restaurant was disappointing, marking it as my least favorite in San Francisco and specifically in the Inner Sunset. It's also significantly more expensive, costing 20-35% more than other Korean spots in the area, yet the food quality is worse. The ambience was fine, but I did not like the jap chae.

Fantastic Evening at um.ma!
My experience at um. Ma was absolutely wonderful! Marianne was incredibly helpful in organizing a surprise dinner for my fiancé, being very responsive, thoughtful, kind, and helpful via email.
Despite changing the reservation several times, the team was attentive and friendly upon our arrival. The food was fantastic, especially for a large group. We had a perfect evening!

Delicious Sundubu-jjigae and Relaxing Vibes
I'm so glad I finally tried Um. mas; it was definitely worth it! The sundubu-jjigae was everything you could want out of a soup on a cold day. It was incredibly fresh and well seasoned, like everything else we had.
They had great portion sizes as well for the price. The staff were incredibly polite, and the overall vibes of the restaurant were chill, making it such a relaxing and fun place to be. I'd definitely go back.
