My experience at Toppu Ramen & Dim Sum while exploring San Francisco was absolutely wonderful. I ordered the beef ramen, and it was perfect from start to finish. The broth was rich and flavorful without being too heavy, the noodles were just the right amount, and the toppings, especially the egg and beef, tied it all together beautifully. We also tried the gyoza and enoki mushrooms, which were both delicious. For drinks, my partner got a cold Sapporo while I had a lychee drink that was fun and interactive. The service was outstanding; our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the meal even better. The atmosphere is cozy but lively, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a hearty meal. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. This is definitely a spot I would recommend for both locals and tourists, whether you are after a casual lunch, a cozy dinner, or a quick stop during your city adventures.

My experience at this restaurant was okay in terms of food, but significantly marred by the service. I ordered the vegetarian shoyu, and found the soup to be tasty and the noodles good. However, I felt it could have used more tofu. The main issue, and the reason for my low rating, was the unexpected gratuity that was automatically added to the bill for just two people at lunch. This charge was not clearly indicated on the menu or anywhere else. After paying with my credit card, a second slip with a tip field also appeared. While I understand restaurants have the prerogative to implement a minimum gratuity, it needs to be made very clear to customers beforehand.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic. The Kimchi soup with rice was absolutely fire, and the food in general was great, fast, and warm. The service was A1, perfect for a quick, good bite. I also enjoyed the Udon. Despite some past reviews mentioning financial struggles, the food was good, and I definitely recommend it. Coming from Los Angeles, it was just as good as home.

We started with a steamed pork belly bun, which was significantly smaller than depicted on the menu, more suited as an appetizer for one rather than two. The two spicy miso pork ramen bowls we ordered were a letdown; the ramen noodles were comparable to Maruchan Top Ramen quality, and the spice seemed to be from Tajin. Additionally, the pork belly in the ramen was very overcooked. While the food was a letdown, the staff's service was timely and friendly. However, be aware that a tip is included in your bill. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
