Stylish Industrial-Chic Dining Experience
My experience at The Wayland Mill in Washington, D. C. Was fantastic! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The restaurant boasts industrial-chic interiors with soft natural light, creating a visually engaging environment perfect for photography. The food presentation was clean, modern, and colorful, beautifully complementing the stylish setting. Large windows allowed natural light to highlight the textures and colors of the dishes. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, making it ideal for both casual visitors and tourists seeking an aesthetically pleasing dining experience. The service was attentive and efficient. The Wayland Mill is a must-visit for travelers who appreciate stylish spaces and photogenic meals.

Amazing Food, Chaotic Service
The food here is amazing, and the menu is inspired. However, the service concept is sheer chaos. On a busy Friday morning, the single person handling orders was also the barista, leading to an unnecessarily long line. This bottleneck also impacts the kitchen, causing food to sit and become cold, or creating lulls and rushes instead of a steady pace. I also observed food runners bussing dirty tables without washing their hands in between, and then handling pastries for customers 🤮. With the impressive food and increasing guest volume, management needs to redesign the service concept to avoid this chaos. While I appreciate staff filling multiple roles, it's unhygienic and disorganized. It's unfair to customers to wait in a slow line, then hunt for a table, and then seat themselves somewhere dirty. I have extensive experience managing busy restaurants and would be happy to consult on efficiency and design to make this place stellar.

Delicious Hojicha and Peanut Pie!
My experience at the restaurant was fantastic! The hojichu with banana milk and the peanut pie were both absolutely DELICIOUS. Unfortunately, by noon on a Sunday, they were already sold out of the rest of the food. I can't wait to come back soon and try the full menu! 🤤

Not Worth the Hype
My experience at this restaurant was just okay. The coffee was decent, and the customer service was also fine. However, the space inside felt a bit dark and dim. Overall, it wasn't worth the hype, and I don't think I'll be returning.

Unique Japanese American Brunch Gem
My experience at this restaurant was wonderful! It's a great spot for brunch and café items in Seattle, offering many unique items you can't find elsewhere. I particularly enjoyed the Japanese American fusion take on breakfast dishes. The space itself is very beautiful, and the food presentation is even more stunning. My favorite was the Japanese American breakfast set, with the egg being the tastiest part, though everything was great. The service was great as well. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back.

Life-changing Biscuits and Baked Goods!
My experience at this restaurant was truly transformative. The biscuit and chashu gravy were a revelation, so good they "changed my life. " Additionally, all the baked goods were equally impressive, described as "a revelation. " I am already planning on "going back many times! "

Perfect Spot for Any Occasion
I absolutely love this spot; it truly works for literally any time of day. Whether it's for breakfast, a light lunch, a quick happy hour, or a full-on dinner, it’s always a win. Breakfast is my favorite: the espresso/cappuccino is super good, and the pastries are next-level. The savory biscuit is a must-try. Since they're connected to St Bread, all the baked and sweet items are perfection. The wine & cocktail menu is excellent; it's a smaller list, but it rotates all the time and everything on it is unique and seriously well chosen. Go. You’ll understand once you’re there.
