Favorite Spot with Amazing Oysters
As a resident of South Park, I can confidently say this restaurant is one of my absolute favorites. The staff consistently makes me feel welcomed and is incredibly accommodating. The happy hour oysters are a fantastic value for the price, and their horseradish is truly the best I've ever tasted. My experiences here have always been wonderful.

Great Community Spot with Excellent Small Plates
My experience at this community spot was fantastic! I enjoyed the good wine selection and the good small plates. The Brussels sprouts were excellent, as were the empanadas. The atmosphere was rated a 5, and the service was also a 5. While parking was somewhat difficult to find, the overall experience was very positive.

Cute Spot with Friendly Service, Limited Menu
The Rose is a very cute spot. My experience was mixed. The service was excellent, with very friendly servers. The food was really good! However, the menu is limited, not offering too many options. Finding parking was also challenging. Overall, it's a pleasant place with great service and good food, but be prepared for a restricted menu and potential parking difficulties.

A Reliable SD Staple for Any Occasion
This place is a SD staple that I’ve found myself returning to again and again. It's perfect for a date night or even a solo date with my book and my dog, as they have an outdoor patio. 🐶 What consistently brings me back is the rotating selection of orange wine (always so good!), the delicious burger, and the ultra friendly staff. I 10/10 recommend this spot.

Great Local Spot for Brunch!
This is a fun local spot to grab a bite or a glass of wine. My experience with the brunch was pretty tasty, and the bagels were delicious. The service, atmosphere, and food all received high marks.

Pleasant Surprise with Natural Wine
I was in town for a work trip and a coworker recommended this spot for wine. Upon arrival, I discovered it was a natural wine bar, which initially made me a bit disappointed as I don't typically favor natural wines. However, I decided to try the garnacha blanca and was pleasantly surprised – it was delicious! I also ordered an empanada as a "snack, " but they were quite large and filling. I would definitely come back when I'm in town.

Lovely Area and Drinks, But Service Lacks Warmth
We absolutely love The Rose! As locals living in North Park, we visit often. However, recently, we've encountered a noticeable lack of friendliness, bordering on hostility, from the staff. It feels as though they are consistently rude and unconcerned with customer service. We continue to come here because the area, drinks, and food are truly lovely. Despite the positive aspects, the experience is marred by the consistent feeling that the staff is annoyed with us every time we walk in. What we initially thought might be isolated incidents has become a recurring pattern over weeks, leading to an unfortunate expectation of rudeness. We sincerely hope The Rose improves its consistency in customer interactions.

Delicious Brunch with a Catch
My experience at this restaurant was for brunch on a Saturday, and it was delicious! A key point to note is that you can only sit inside if you are 21+ years old. If you're coming with kids, you'll be seated outside, which is described as just as nice. I highly recommend making reservations as the place gets busy. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast burger. I ordered the sourdough pancakes with stone fruit, and they were incredibly delicious. The service was friendly, and the coffee was also very good!

Cute Patio, Confusing Menu
This place has a cute patio, but a relatively confusing menu. It's not clear what is a small plate and what is an entree, but my advice is to err on the side of assuming that whatever you're ordering is a small plate! It would be a great spot to hang out for a happy-hour type of get together with friends and a few shared small plates, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a dinner for two, especially for a vegetarian—they don't really have a vegetarian main. What I would recommend though, are the bravas rosas, which are phenomenal potatoes—they also serve them at brunch!

Delicious Food, Beautiful Presentation, Great Service
The weather was perfect for sitting outside. We arrived at 3: 30 PM and enjoyed some beverages and light bites during the siesta hour, including bread and butter, olives, and oysters on the half shell. Dinner began at 4: 00 PM. For dinner, we ordered the salmon crudo, a salad, and beans. Everything was delicious, and the presentations were beautiful. We concluded our meal with the pot de crème. The service was great – attentive but not overbearing. The restaurant offers a nice selection of wines, bubbles, a couple of beers, and a few cocktails and mocktails.
