Captivating Ambiance, Decent Food & Service
My experience at this San Francisco spot was a mix of delightful ambiance and average food. The ambiance was truly captivating, and the place was adorned with impressive decorations, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The drinks were excellent.
I ordered the meatballs, which were just okay. The service was decent; we finished our drinks and it took about 15 minutes for the server to inquire if we wanted to order anything else.

Excellent Food, Slow Service
My experience at the restaurant was a mixed bag. The food and drinks were excellent, truly a highlight of the meal. However, the service was slow, which seemed to be a consequence of how busy the establishment was.
Despite the wait, the quality of the food made up for some of the service shortcomings.

Good Food, Fair Prices, No Holiday Surprises
This is not a fancy place, but the food is good and the prices are good. I especially appreciated that their menu and prices do not change during holidays like Christmas and New Year's Eve, which is a big plus.

Ambiance Shines, Food and Service Fall Short
As others have shared, the ambiance is by far the best part of this restaurant, especially the outside seats 😍. The food was good, not great; I enjoyed everything we ordered, but nothing was remarkable. The service was attentive and fast, yet our server seemed unfamiliar with the menu, dissembling at every question.
For $70 a person, I expect servers to be able to answer any questions about the menu, provide guidance, and help with decisions, which we did not experience.

Unattended and Left Without Service
My experience at the restaurant was extremely disappointing. Despite having a reservation for 7 pm and arriving at 6: 50 pm, I was left unattended for 25 minutes. Although I was quickly seated, no one came to take my order.
The restaurant wasn't overly busy, and my attempts to make eye contact with the waitress were unsuccessful. Consequently, I couldn't even evaluate the food because the service did not allow for it, forcing me to leave and find another place.

Hidden Gem with Vintage Charm
My experience at Fly Trap was wonderful. It's a neighborhood hidden gem with a very vintage and cozy atmosphere that still feels fresh. While we usually visit for drinks, we have also enjoyed dinner here.
Everything we've tried has been very good, and I especially recommend the Tongue Teaser cocktail!

The outdoor patio/alley is so pretty, and the service was both attentive and friendly.

Cute Place, Good Food, Small Chairs
My experience at this restaurant was quite interesting. It's a super cute place that's been around since 1883, which I found really cool. The decor was cool, although the chairs at the tables felt very small and flimsy.
The food was good with large portions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience despite the minor seating issue.

Denied Service After Event
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. We were literally cut off because we came from a specialty event that gave us free etched wine glasses. The staff claimed we were overserved, which was absolutely the wrong call.
We were denied service that they had previously agreed to provide, and they failed to notify us in the moment, likely due to their own embarrassment. I would skip this place and don't bother coming here.
