My experience at this establishment was excellent. It's a must-include on any San Diego dive bar tour, and I'd say it's actually a step above a typical dive bar. The service was great, and the bar food was also very good.

My experience at this restaurant was a delightful surprise! I ordered the Reuben and fried pickles, while my husband opted for the chili tots and chicken tenders. We were absolutely shocked at how good the food was. The spices in the chili were incredibly well-balanced, the potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the Reuben was out of this world. We'll definitely be back!

My experience at this classic bar and grill was a pleasant surprise! They've revamped and improved their beer list, which was a definite highlight. I also recommend keeping an eye out for their daily specials. The atmosphere was rated a 4, and the service was excellent, earning a 5. Food quality was also strong, with a rating of 4. Parking was not an issue, with plenty of free parking available. There was no wait time.

My experience at The Longhorn, and now The Duke, has been wonderful. I loved the great food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere has been freshened up, and the servers are a friendly group.

As a new resident to the San Diego area, I was immediately impressed by the unbeatable vibe here. The music selection is great, and the bar staff are friendly and respectful. The temperature was just right – not too cold, not too hot. I have to say, the music is awesome! I had to leave but didn't want to, and I'll definitely be back at least once a week. I really appreciate the amazing vibes you guys offer.

I've visited this restaurant a couple of times, once on a Friday night and most recently on a Saturday. On a Friday around 5 pm, it was a bit busy with the typical after-work crowd. The bartender was attentive and knew how to read the room, keeping glasses topped up. The place has TVs, ample seating including a bar, booths, and tables in both the main area and a separate dining room. On that Friday, I only ordered the hummus with veggies, which was fresh and notably different from store-bought versions. Two Saturdays later, I returned around 8: 30 pm, and it was packed. I ordered a drink and food for takeout. The food prices were cheap. Upon arriving home, the weight of the bag made me wonder if I'd received the wrong order or a lot of condiments because it was so heavy. When it was time to eat, the portion of my Reuben was incredibly generous – a "Whoa" moment! As a big guy, I couldn't finish it in one sitting; it took me two days. I also bought a hamburger, which was good, but I'll definitely be back specifically for the Reuben and to explore more of the menu.

My experience at this nice little spot was positive. They've updated their menu and name, and even the John Wayne Room has been changed. It used to be The Longhorn, but it's now called Duke's.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic, primarily due to the best burger ever I've had. Initially, I was a bit sad about the name change from "the Longhorn, " which I've known my entire life. However, if the other menu items are as good as the burger, I will gladly accept the change. The restaurant still maintains the same welcoming and cozy feel as before.
