Our Go-To Spot for Coffee and Bagels!
We absolutely love The Birdhouse! It has become our go-to spot, and we stop in about 2-3 times a week before heading to work. The coffee selection is always on point, and their Salmon bagel is absolutely addicting.
We also enjoyed the great vibes and great service. We highly recommend it.

Great Coffee and Food Spot
My experience at this restaurant was great! It's one of my favorite stops when I'm in West Seattle for a great coffee and food. The seating is limited, but it's still a great spot overall.

Fantastic Breakfast and Coffee Experience
I had a fantastic breakfast and coffee at this great little place. I tried the breakfast sandwich, which featured a brioche bun, bacon, seasonal hashmix, and Firebird aioli. The food was rated a 5, service a 5, and atmosphere a 5.

Great Local Breakfast Spot with a Hash Complaint
Love The Bird, my favorite for a local, friendly breakfast. I have to drop some feedback about the Henderson Hash. Please stop making it with green beans 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 It was so much better with asparagus.

Great Coffee and Breakfast Sandwiches!
Visiting from the East Coast, I found this place while searching for good coffee options beyond Starbucks. The owner was kind, and the food was great! Although it's a small business, they offer something that truly stands out.
There is outside seating, but I'm unsure about indoor seating. I enjoyed an iced coffee and some breakfast sandwiches. The food and coffee were free of artificial ingredients, and you can definitely taste the difference.
The coffee was amazing, and the food was great. I highly recommend visiting!

A Mystical Mocha Experience
As a self-proclaimed coffee snob, my past experiences with coffee were often marred by a rancid taste. This all changed during a trip to Hong Kong, where a much-needed coffee boost due to jet lag revealed a mystical flavor, seemingly roasted that very day. This experience led me down a rabbit hole into the world of magical coffee, and I now roast my own beans.
On a recent chilly and damp Seattle morning, my wife and I visited a coffee shop with a cool mural. Despite my apprehension about encountering old coffee, I remembered my resilient firefighter past and bravely ordered a mocha. To my pleasant surprise, the apprehension was unnecessary.
The staff at The Birdhouse seem to have discovered the same secret I found in Hong Kong. The big crow on the wall made my last vacation day a success, and I am content to return home to my own coffee, knowing I can find a tasty mocha when visiting friends in West Seattle.

Great Coffee, Long Waits
I've been a semi-regular customer at Birdhouse for about a year, and it's been my go-to spot for coffee. It's a walk-up window with some benches outside, and it's clearly a very popular neighborhood spot. They offer a wide variety of seasonal drinks and also have baked goods and a substantial food menu.
The coffee itself is fantastic, prepared with evident care. However, the waiting times are a significant drawback. I've experienced waits of around 25 minutes for a single coffee order multiple times over the past year, which has detracted from my overall experience.
There's almost always a huge queue of online orders, especially during peak morning hours, so factor that in if you're ordering in person. We tried the veggie burrito and salmon bagel but were left unimpressed by the taste and price. The oatmeal, however, was delicious.
I hope they will prioritize walk-up orders in the future.

Inedible Vegan Burrito
My experience at this restaurant was largely negative due to the food quality. I ordered the vegan burrito, which turned out to be primarily squash, carrots, and greens. The minimal amount of beans lacked any seasoning, and the combination of undercooked vegetables, a hard tortilla, and overall little flavor made the entire dish inedible.
I will not be returning.
