Huge, Crispy Pain au Jambon!
My experience at the restaurant involved enjoying a huge, crispy pain au jambon with a black coffee. The pastry was perfectly executed, with a delightful crispy exterior and a soft interior, making it so good! It paired wonderfully with the black coffee. Adding to the positive experience, there was a cute little dog present, which truly made my day! ♥️🥐☕️

Good Portions, Okay Latte
My experience involved ordering tea, a latte, and two tartines: one avocado and one salmon. The tartines were generously topped, which was a positive aspect. However, I was expecting more overall. The latte was not particularly good.

Delicious Croissant, Good Bread
My experience at Tartine was a pleasant afternoon snack stop. We went to San Francisco and decided to try Tartine, as we heard it was the best place for sourdough bread in the city. I found the bread to be good. To really test it, we ordered plain bread with butter for about $8, and I was impressed with the portion size. I also couldn't resist the ham and cheese croissant, which was delicious – a definite 10/10, and I would get it again. We enjoyed our pick-me-up snack in the park, which was a perfect location. I would certainly go back if I needed another snack in the area.

Delicious food, slightly overpriced
My experience at this restaurant was marked by delicious and high-quality food. My favorite dish was the mushroom grilled cheese. The bread, in general, was exceptional, as were the butter and jams. While the food is amazing, it is expensive, and I ultimately felt it was slightly overpriced. The atmosphere can be chaotic during weekends, but it's a bonus that the establishment is dog friendly.

Disappointing Experience at Tartine
My experience at Tartine was quite disappointing. I was surprised to find that by 12: 30 on a Monday, they were already out of the only two substantial sandwiches on the menu. The sandwich garnish was a scraggly, pathetic single carrot. Furthermore, the almond croissant filling was watery, lacking the rich and thick consistency of the much better almond croissants at Arsicault. The counter service was barely hospitable, and it was off-putting to be prompted for a minimum 20% tip via tablet. The only positive aspect was the food runner, who was great. Given the current economy, Tartine is a hard pass.
