Tangerine - Reviews

My experience at Tangerine was fantastic! They are truly putting together great Thai dishes. I had the Pad Khing, and it was top-notch. The 3-star spicy level was achieved with real fresh peppers and was the ideal spiciness. Then, we tried the special dessert of the day: fried plantains and ice cream. It was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, with perfect flavors. I would go back just for this dessert! I'm adding Tangerine Thai to my regular neighborhood rotation.

I was bummed that our experience at this restaurant wasn't good. We live in the neighborhood and had heard it was good, but we were very disappointed. The Tom Yum completely lacked spice, despite requesting 3 stars. The Pad Kee Mao was dry and also not spicy. The Massaman Curry was very sparse in potatoes and meat, mostly curry, and also underspiced (we had requested 3 out of 4 stars). I really hope they can take feedback and improve their food.

We stopped in for take out on our way home and were really impressed with the friendly staff and warm inviting atmosphere. Our food was made quick and at a very reasonable price. I really liked the Pad see ew and the mango sticky rice. We will be back for sure.

We would give Tangerine Thai more than 5 stars if we could! This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had anywhere. Although visually it doesn’t look much different, the prices are good, the service is friendly, and the ambiance is cute/cozy.

I'm really happy this restaurant is down the block from me. I often get take out and always order the pad see ew with basil added. It's great that they can make it gluten-free, which is rare. It always hits the spot!

Our favorite Thai food experience! The Khao Soi is fantastic, and we've also enjoyed all their other curries. We love the pad dishes too, with the perfect char on the meat and veggies. Everything we've tried here is incredibly flavorful and perfectly executed. It's our go-to takeout place, especially when we have visitors from out of town.

Though I haven't been to Thailand, I've dined at numerous Thai restaurants across Seattle, SF, Victoria, Vancouver BC, NYC, and more, and none have surpassed the meals here. The quality and taste are consistently excellent; I'm still savoring the memory of my dinner last night. While it appears to be primarily a takeout establishment, the restaurant itself is a very pleasant place to dine, which is why I usually opt for the sit-down experience. Highly recommended!

We have loved this restaurant since it was up on Phinney and still frequent it down in Ballard. Their curry is impossible to beat! It's the best Thai food, service, and atmosphere. Bonus, the couple that owns this place are the best humans and work really hard. 10/10.
