Delicious Food, Great Owner!
I'm not sure why the rating is so low, but the food here is really good! My friends and I ordered three different meals, and they were all delicious. The owner is incredibly nice and even provided us with spicy sauces.
I highly recommend checking this place out! I had the steamed rice with dried duck, and it was fantastic.

Great Food, Sweet Service, Quiet Atmosphere
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It provided a nice quiet time to enjoy my meal and tea, perfect for when the kids are at school or even with them. I particularly enjoyed the family style meals.
The portions were really good for the price, making it a great value. The server was incredibly sweet and attentive, and the food arrived fresh and hot. I loved all the flavors, from the soup to the rice plates, and the dim sum was also really good.
If you're looking for a nice quiet place to enjoy a hot, good meal for a low price, this is definitely your spot!

Disappointing Chicken with Mushroom Clay Pot
My first and last time here. I ordered the "Chicken with Mushroom" clay pot and was very disappointed. It was mostly broken bones with tiny pieces of meat attached, requiring constant attention to avoid dental damage or choking.
Additionally, the wait time was long, 30 minutes from 1: 00 PM to 1: 30 PM, even though the restaurant wasn't crowded.

Terrible Dim Sum and Sneaky Billing
My experience at this restaurant was the worst dim sum/Chinese food I've ever had. I would give it 0 stars if possible. The service was terrible and the food was sub-par.
They also have a sneaky practice of pre-charging a mandatory tip to the bill without any prior notice on the menu or within the restaurant. This was particularly frustrating as it was just for two people, and I ended up accidentally tipping twice, which really ticked me off given the subpar service.

Hygiene Concerns Ruin Otherwise Good Meal
YOU WILL WANT TO READ THIS! The food I found quite good. The lady who waited on us was very nice.
The reason for the bad review I think will speak for itself. Almost finished with our meal and my wife gets a not so good look on her face and I noticed she stops eating. The guy who prepared the food, she noticed, walks into the bathroom with his food prep gloves on.
This she watches carefully. He then comes back out after doing his business…. With the same gloves on!
He goes back to the food service area. Because of this, I’d highly suggest avoiding this place. Also, when paying by card they have an automatic 15% tip added (a fee for eating in it said!).
Crazy!

Dishonest and Overpriced Experience
My experience at this restaurant was extremely negative. I encountered the worse wonton and beef brisket I have ever had in my life. Furthermore, they overcharge customers, as they already included a 25% or more tip in the total bill price without asking, yet still suggested giving more tips at the bottom of the check.
You should look at your receipt carefully; it's a dishonest place. I strongly advise against coming here!

Freshly Roasted Duck & Delicious Claypot
I was impressed with the Roasting Chef 👨🍳. Instead of selling a duck that’s been hanging, he asked me to wait 20 minutes so that he can roast a fresh 🦆. This restaurant specializes in single-serving CLAYPOT Rice, single-serving bowls of Herbal Soup, rice plates, and dessert soups.
Definitely try the Roast Squab, Chicken, and Claypot with ribs & sausage. For dessert, the Sesame Ball w/purple potato filling and BLACK SESAME Pudding are great choices. The TEOCHEW (aka Chew Chou or Chiu Chao) Dumplings are also a good option.
You can’t go wrong with veggies in a Chinese restaurant 😂. The Fish Maw chicken & Pork Bone herbal soups are okay, good enough if you like soup, though homemade is always better. I would skip the Wonton Noodle Soup if you're a purist, as I'm not a fan of instant ramen noodles.
Also, skip the Yellow Eel Claypot if you're not a fan of eel looking like worms. I prefer the Yellow Eel at the Broadway location where they use the whole eel and you can request a soup to be made with the eel bone. Service: 5/5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 4/5

Disappointing Noodles, Potential for Claypot
This was my first and last visit to the restaurant. We ordered the wonton noodles soup and beef brisket soup. Unfortunately, both dishes came with instant noodles instead of egg noodles, which was a significant letdown.
The taste of the soups was not particularly good either. I suspect people might come here primarily for their Claypot rice.

Horrible experience, avoid at all costs!
We visited this restaurant with our family two weeks ago and ordered two Clay Pot Rice. To our horror, we found chewed GUM! in one of them!
The place is not clean at all. I strongly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

Disappointing Dim Sum Experience
My experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. I had to wait 15 minutes to order and then another 30 minutes to get the food. It was so inconvenient that customers had to add water to their own tea, and I even saw a male customer refilling hot water in a yellow pot at the front desk himself.
This is not a real dim sum restaurant; most people seem to come here for clay pot rice. While you can pay by credit card, I advise caution with tipping, as it's not recommended. There's a poster on the wall that seems out of place.
Please take better care of your service.
