Tacos El Gordo - Reviews

My experience was marked by a significant trademark issue. This establishment is ❌👎🏽 not the Tacos El Gordo that was established in 1972. The primary concern was a trademark issue.

This is NOT the real Tacos El Gordo. The only REAL locations are Downtown Chula Vista and National City. That's where the OMG, out-of-this-world great tacos are.

My experience at the restaurant was extremely disappointing. The Burrito I ordered had No Pico, No vegetables, No Guac, No beans, No onions, and most importantly, No flavor. It was a complete letdown. No thanks!

CONGRATS… you have stumbled upon a review of the WORST taco shop in existence. Pretty sure it is a front. We got the shrimp tacos with a side of beans and it was lukewarm unseasoned shrimp. We barely took one bite and trashed it. Worried this place will give you E. Coli. Absolutely absolutely disgusting. The most embarrassing food I have ever been served in my life. I have absolutely no idea how this place is open, let alone running in Pacific Beach where good tacos are abundant. I was so appalled I have never been so disappointed by a food place in my life. Unreal.

My experience at this restaurant was fantastic! The carne asada tacos were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. While there's no designated seating area, the view of the ocean is really great! The food, atmosphere, and service all received a perfect score.

This review is not related to Tacos El Gordo in National City, which is known for having the best tacos in San Diego. I am unsure how they manage to use the name and potentially mislead customers.

My experience at the restaurant was fantastic, primarily due to the incredibly delicious food. The carne asada tacos were simply impeccable, and the salsa verde was also very tasty. While the fish tacos were good, the carne asada tacos truly stood out. The service was excellent, with a perfect score of 5, and the atmosphere was also highly rated at 5, being very quiet. It's a great spot suitable for all group sizes.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I was expecting the authentic Tacos El Gordo, but this was not it. For $11. 99, I received two asada tacos that were so small and unappetizing, they resembled liver tacos. After just one bite, I had to throw them away. Don't waste your time here.

My experience at this restaurant was not ideal. I found the location in downtown to be significantly better than this spot. Additionally, Mission Baja, which is about a ten-minute walk away, offers much better tacos.

My experience at this restaurant, located right along the beach in Pacific Beach, was very nice. The service, people, price, and food were all great! The atmosphere was also a 5-star experience. While seating is limited, I definitely recommend them. It's also definitely kid friendly and conveniently located next door to a dessert place. 😋
